  1. If there was a more substantial and hidden 'reward' regards the mentioned 'deal' or regards involvement at Rangers as a whole (and I stress the IF),....then I doubt very much if it would have been brought up in said conversation by the Easdales.
  2. Might be more in this than previous speculation given the bookies seem to be taking it seriously. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/fulham/next-permanent-manager Now Fulham may or may not want MW but the more important question is does MW want Fulham. I would hope not.
  3. If you thought that at anytime either CW or CG&Co were good for Rangers then you were wrong, tbf you were far from alone in that. You say that they were quite popular for a while........but some did see that they weren't good for the club from day one. It's ironic now that some that were very wrong back in the day choose to exercise a vigilance of sorts towards one of our own. To say "it looks like Craig had deals going on with the Easdales" would seem to be suggesting something untoward when it is blindingly obvious that discussions took place but from the CH perspective, with the overview of achieving the objective of 'regime change'. The bottomline regards the book is that you don't have to buy it but to infer dark agendas or similar is IMO out of order and based on nothing.
  4. WTF................. Where do you start with that Colin Nish ? You say that on the face of things CW & CG&Co were ok for Rangers before 'hidden events' came into view,....well that gives us an indication of your ability to read a situation and seems to be reflected in your 'judgement' once again.
  5. We can speculate but we don't really know. On the face of it, the major change of late has been the legal actions (and their volume) coming from Mr.MASH.
  6. It's easy to see how sp1vs and chancers have found it so easy to divide our support. Here is a guy who has sacrificed a lot to start up a protest group in our hour of need and saw it through to regime change having his motives questioned Now you don't have to like the individual, nor do you have to buy the book but you really should respect the guy for what he has done and recognise his freedom to write a book, which apparently is partly to fund the SOS football academy. Not to mention the relevance of his inside knowledge of the struggle and our interest that makes a book make sense. Writing a book is a commercial venture, the timing has to do with the Xmas market and the subject matter has to be reasonably fresh for there to be sufficient interest.
  7. The Sun play their cards in time honoured fashion. Understand the demographics, the rivalry etc....then play us against them and visa versa. Stand back and reap the commercial rewards. The current climate and goings-on are meat and drink to the tabloids, even if in these difficult days for print media it only produces bread and water.
  8. I fail to understand the 'logic' in the first part of your post. A 'holistic approach' was/is being taken regards the interests of RIFC and TRFC, that prior to yesterday included the non-payment of the 5M loan from 'SportsDirect.com Retail Limited and associated companies'. Any repayment of that loan would tend to indicate that something has changed or happened to re-evaluate strategy or force the move.... As it stands, we are in the dark as to the why but I doubt very much it has to do with what you put forward.
  9. When the club itself start coming out with that kind of line, it shows that they have used up all the standard excuses various times over and that they seek to curry favour with fans with a stab at us......We've seen Lawwell and Reid do it enough, especially around AGM's. As Pete says, please give Delia and Collins as much rope as they want. Quite apart from the awful European 'Groundhog Thursday' results, I think the Kris Commons outburst and the manner of how Mulgrew left the pitch tend to indicate that the senior pros in the dressing room don't respect the management team.

  11. It has been a spin campaign throughout traditional and social media that some Rangers supporters have 'bought' because it is designed to fill a hole in the understanding of what is going on within a complex situation. It is pitched in this way to influence fans opinion so as they think DK is as much of a problem as MASH/SD. The truth of the matter is that the underlying battle is..........The interests of Rangers... v... Mr.MASH/SD
  12. Yes, the so called public 'spat' has much more involved than the media talk about and can be summed up as your quote above..... versus "It remains my intention to ensure that Sports Direct is legally and financially held accountable for its failures.".....DK
  13. Exert ".............Some think it’s simply personal and that Dave King has got under his skin, others think it’s related to the £5 million loan others still think he wants to regain control of Rangers in time for a return to the SPFL next season. None of these theories make sense given the investment of time and money from Ashley so far. His legal team are racking up fees at a rate of knots and his PR firm Keith Bishops Associates have assigned someone full time to monitor Scottish media and social media output in the hope of unearthing any material or leaks which could further Sports Direct’s litigious ambitions. The actual reason for the urgency is the fast approaching criminal trial of Charles Green, should that result in a conviction then Dave King’s threat of ensuring Sports Direct are “legally and financially held to account for their failings” becomes very real..........." 14. I remember that day because I flew into England (Midlands) for my brothers wedding (subsequent weekend) and arrived at the house of the bride's family just after the game had kicked off. First ever thing I said to them was 'hello, is it ok if we switch the TV over to ITV please' ps. The game was obviously being broadcast throughout the UK as we had knocked Leeds out.
  15. Try reading my post more carefully regards root causes and effects. --------------------- Forgive me for laughing at the part in bold. When some were pointing to the real fires, 'others' didn't want to know........and still cling to their 'comfort blanket'.
  16. Different people will take information, use and apply it in different ways. Some will look at the general situation as it stands, take into consideration where it comes from, perception of messenger, motivations and add it into what may be termed as a 'mix' or even 'a case for the metaphorical prosecution/defence'. Others will look at it and simply decide black or white (or even Green).
  17. You are far too desperate to make it all fit into your general overview. Whilst 'our enemies' don't wish us well and did want to maximise our pain, it was simply reckless executive management from Sir Duped that led to the subsequent shennigans that are in the criminal court and can't be fully discussed. From this has spawned all manner of evils, including opportunities for 'enemies' to maximise pain.. Motivations for the main players close to what was actually going on throughout has been self-interest (mostly financial). What you describe comes under heresay, opinion and 'convenient conspiracy theory' that you are more comfortable with.
  18. Did you read the line about 'sowing seeds' ? What you say (in bold) was never going to happen but the root reason for the hullaballo in the summer of 2012 came from decisions taken 'within Ibrox'. Principally, the executive management of Sir Duped that is part of an ongoing HMRC case and subsequent shennanigans that are in large part, up in the criminal court.
  19. He isn't perfect and nor was everything he did but he did try to stand up and use the 'information' he had to tell the support that all wasn't right.......whilst other so called legends who knew similar, didn't. The relaying of the 'information' was difficult because it wasn't precise and in the case of Bomber, he wasn't the best person to digest, grasp, interpret and articulate such complex and probably vague financial shennanigans. What he did know was that Green&Co and their onerous dealings would take us down into a dark place. Regardless of precise detail, had fans actually taken on board the general sentiment, developed it and not lined up behind the Yorkshire pied piper in such gullible fashion so soon after CW....then maybe we could have avoided some of the pain or even been forced into more immediate pain from which we would be further down the road to recovery today. We should perhaps instead ask ourselves why more of the supposedly more enlightened and appropriately experienced amongst us didn't or weren't able to shine a light where it was needed.
  20. Whilst many are/were up in arms about 'traditional enemies', others much closer to home were sowing the seeds for their self-interest and ongoing chaos for the club. Too many within our support who actually spend time in 'investigating' and putting it out there,.... have IMO concentrated their efforts in the wrong direction at the wrong time.
  21. Whilst I can understand your main point, I don't like the way you finish your post with a subtle dig at someone who you would have done well to listen to in recent years.
  22. Two fantastic absolute top drawer passes. 1. Durrant picks ball up in midfield and threads a ball through French defenders with the perfact weight for the onrushing Alexi and his first-time cross to McSwegan/goal. 2. McSwegan with an audacious 'Paul Scholes highlight reel' outside of the boot lobbed pass to put Durrant (IIRC) in space for subsequent cross to Hately/goal.
  23. The deal itself was innovative and set-up in such a way that increased chances of high player motivation levels and subsequent performance. It also worked out for all parties.
  24. I'm not an expert either and get your point. However, if funding such a 'provision' wouldn't be the norm, then I'd guess that nor was the scale of use, relative to leaving the business so exposed to the risk of HMRC interpretation/action. The latter being very much the main point. The scale of use and subsequent interpretation by HMRC = Sir Duped et al ducking & diving and the arrival of Craig Whyte.
  25. No it isn't and it had nothing to do with other companies. We (Sir Duped) built up amounts (scale) without any type of funds/provision held in reserve for if the risk (HMRC interpretation/action) were to crystalise and be successful.
