Rangers 2 Aberdeen 1 Colak -
The club needs stability. Try harder

Aye, but a turgid 1-0 win will ultimately go down better than a thrilling 3-3 draw. Stating the bleeding obvious but Gio will be prioritising the points. Although, you wonder if he'll reach the fcuk it, just go for it stage one day. I remember in Walter's second spell after a November defeat at Aberdeen. Big meeting with players and they decided to be more adventurous in their play. Everyone bought into it and the following six league games in December, we won scoring 3,3,3,6,4,7 in the respective games. That was a team who had thrilled us in September with three league games on the bounce ending 0-0.

Yes, but perhaps for stability for the club, that is the wrong way round (everything at once is extremely difficult). Obviously the fans wouldn't agree. Over the years, what we have tended to do is throw money at on-field problems. This often works (to varying degrees) but it is also often only short term fixes that don't sort out fault lines (eg. player trading model). They invariably have brought financial problems not much further down the line. Rinse and repeat. What the current setup is trying to do is solve the above. But we have now hit a large bump in the road and the steering appears fcuked.

There are various levels of reality to wake up to. - Football on the park - State of squad (and est. sell-on value - Football Operation as a whole - Financial state of play - Take all of the above for holistic take on where we go from here Better to go back to sleep?

Some clubs have made it work for them. For example, AC Milan (90's) had a very different approach to taking care of the veterans (mind and body) as well as the fact that the players were top level. What a club has to do if they decide to go down the high average age and several chronically injured players is to at least have the very best sports science/medical approach that will get more games/minutes out of those players, at as high a performance level as possible. We seem to have gone down the route of a significant percentage of older/chronically injured players and at the same time, our medical / sports science don't seem to be at the top of their game. Not a good combination.
-
I'd be speculating on our own young potential and spending money on those with slightly more experience. We have to get realistic as to how far we can go with the budget we have.
-
Squad had too many old and chronically injured that needed managed and liable to miss a lot of minutes. Squad mgmt was awful. It was basically set-up to fail. Not hindsight. I said it before the season began. It was obvious.
-
Tillman could become special. Sands may become decent. The conditionals are outside bets and we don't have enough money to speculate.
-
I don't know about your arse but can't really disagree with the pathetic.
-
Let us say a hypothetical 5M. Still a huge hole in our budget to overhaul the squad. Haven't got much in the way of valuable players to sell on, unless the youngsters like King and Lowry start to play like demons.
-
That would be a huge hole in our football budget. After Villa money for Gerrard&staff we probably thought it would be a good idea to give the manager a relatively long contract. Don't think we'll be going down that road again.
-
At least the manager is trying
-
Unless we sort ourselves out Ajax reserves would beat us.
-
In the four games against Liverpool and Napoli, Ajax have conceded 15 goals. Exactly the same as we have. They aren't close to elite level. We made them look better than they are in Amsterdam.
-
Posing with the image for photos that would go public. Causing the predictable bipolar reactions that in the moment might not matter but further down the line, may be a pain in the arse.
-
A pig thick, ignorant footballer making mistakes is one thing. But an intelligent poster on here should know better.
-
Too easy a mistake to make just now #Plethora

I note a fair bit of noise coming out of Aberdeen regards taking something from Ibrox on Saturday. Yes, they appear to have a better chance than in recent years but crowing about it prior to the game usually works against them.
