The sheep could struggle to get third place, I think Hibs will be more of a challenge.

O'Halloran might end up doing a job for a new manager. Would be foolish not to try and get him producing something. -
Milne has to think of sorting out his own dug-out for Friday. I don't think McInnes can manage another sheep game with any degree of authority.

It's probably got a lot to do with discipline and patience, as well as picking winners I've currently 1. 39 euros invested in a Rangers v Celtic clash that starts in 25 minutes Dott (6/5) to beat McGuire (snooker) -

Sounds good, but for an increasing number of people, the problems tend to start at some point at after the free bets have been used. -
We need to give whatever it is a chance and not throw the baby out of the bathwater as soon as we hit a bad spell.

We need someone in who can do a steady job over a 3 year contract and alongside the DoF, can set a solid foundation. From what is visible, there simply isn't the finance to do it a different way. The only way we would be able to get a potentially 'outstanding manager' is if we spotted a younger manager who could grow into it, ie. another long-odds gamble. ------------- McInnes has spent 4 years at both St.Johnstone and Aberdeen, ie. is prepared to keep at a job. He knows the Scottish game/market. He knows about Rangers (playing). He can achieve consistent results that in the short term should mean 2nd place. He has European qualifier experience with diddy team and has done okish but would need to improve, ie. start getting to group stage. Generally, the media would give him more leeway than leftfielder. ---------------- Now I get I'm a broken record but I'd take the "best possible candidate" / "we can do better than him" opinion more seriously if it could be accompanied by viable and realistic suggestions that fit within current circumstances. ie. it's easy to belittle McInnes, but it'd be more constructive to offer real alternatives....(trueblue82 ?)

Meanwhile, the more important stuff has gone or been allowed to go to hell in a handcart. Look at society 4 decades ago, the geo-politics, the NHS, distribution of wealth, influence of finance in football, etc.....and ask yourself if we've been had ?
-
You re-enforce my point. He hasn't been in the top 5% and hence in this case the conclusion that stats produce is erroneous. ie. whoever puts the data/system together may want to review how it's designed
-
I used the quote with what was said on this thread about Windass and elite level output stats, in mind. Windass isn't elite level, period....or in other words, the stats produce a conclusion that not even his mother could agree to.

There is bad blood between the clubs and I can't see the sheep settling for anything less than the full release* clause, paid up front. * that is claimed by many to exist.
-
It wouldn't be a messageboard otherwise......but to a degree you could replace "happy" with 'realistic' and the others not so.

If McInnes is the target and he wants Docherty to come with him, then of course it does. What you and some others on here think doesn't really come into it
-
Agreed, it's about the football. Docherty seems to have been with McInnes since he started in management, 10 years ago. ie. DM probably sees him as an integral part of his management and the time together would suggest he is.......If you were to go for McInnes, then it makes sense to bring in Docherty.

Sometime this week prior to the weekends fixtures. I might be wrong but itsn't it usually Thursday ?

They've taken to slaughtering each other as well. Pundits are now becoming the subject of ongoing stories in a low quality enviroment. Michael Stewart the pundit is making more news than M.S the footballer ever did. Kris Boyd appears more concerned with media profile than playing football. A lot are taking Chis Sutton's lead in being controversial to draw attention to themselves, opposed to offering insight on the football.

Reducing the pyt. from 82 to 32 is a swinging cut. Anyone any idea of how the quoted "redistribution" works ?

I think it evident that generally they like him and think him a decent bloke but that isn't respect. #'Murts'

Compile your own short-list of managers who meet your criteria.
-
Some have called this our most important managerial appointment ever, it's certainly up there. One that we can't afford to be another disaster. We need to re-build and mitigate risk. Taking into consideration finances, realism and circumstances, you set your criteria and look for the best fit. You eventually choose your man and if you are strongly convinced that he is your man, you attempt to appoint him and pay the compensation. Being the most important man in the footballing operation, you may need to pay through the nose. If the man has proved himself adept at building a squad on next to no finance, that may prove money well spent. ----------------------- There is a danger that unrealistic expectation levels/timescales mean that this will never get off the ground.

He's shagged your Mrs, hasn't he ? We aren't going to agree but give me a name(s) that you'd put forward or/and give me the remit for the next Rangers manager in his 3 year contract as you see it (year by year).
