  1. I'll join you with that helping of humble pie. He's played 4 games of a full 90 minutes for us, the first four of his professional career.
  2. Depends how you see it. Maybe he wants the player to feel wanted. Besides, as a manager you definately prioritise the present, especially if you might be gone come the summer. Getting a good few positive months out of a loan player would be a better than average return and a start.
  3. Williams did report with some detail and critically of SDI/Mr.MASH involvement back in the day so for me this is to a degree, consistenty and a newspaper meeting audience demand/commercial motive. The reason I flagged it up was more his timing. .
  4. In other words, the plea of mitigation from BBC Scotland.
  5. The values appear in document registred at Companies House and if you add all parts of what assets are being used, it seems to come to well over the 3M figure. I can appreciate that Edmiston House may now not be worth what we paid for it and the realisable value for other parts may be less than stated but there is quite a jump from what was initially quoted as security and now. -------- IMO the Edmiston House purchase from MIH/Lloyds reeks but that is another story.
  6. Given that Alves is available and John is out there is a slight possibility but Murty seems to prioritise continuity regards team selection and whilst we are winning, I'm not complaining.
  7. Martin Williams took his time getting that article out. Perhaps he'll tell us that we've signed Greg Docherty in tomorrows exclusive !
  8. I remember Pedro playing three at the back up in a midweek fixture up in Perth and it was effective, middle to front for about half an hour.
  9. It only mirrors some of the changes in society over the decades. Football is an incredibly popular vehicle that was always going to be squeezed and the distribution of wealth was always going to be evermore skewed.
  10. Some of the clickbait pish that is served up online by many 'newspapers' would have embarrassed the Sunday Sport headline editor. They are comics without the redeeming feature of humour.
  11. That's an extreme long shot. Mexican pundits expressed the thought that going to Rangers under Caixinha might spark his career aftera prolonged lull, no. Some may have thought returning to Mexico with Cruz Azul might get him going, no. He seems to have retired from professional football without actually telling anyone. #Payoff
  12. The money at the top end and the way of going about business is a real turn-off for me when it comes to following 'general football'. A good example of the worst of this is Neymar and his antics at PSG, who seem to bend over backwards at the players whim.
  13. Aslong as a ref. will do the same for both teams, I'd agree.
  14. He'd be better off looking after what he's got left of his knees. Comes accross as a decent bloke who did his best but really, it was always a very risky signing that not surprisingly didn't return much in the way of value for money. The signing of Docherty is the broad direction we should be headed.
  15. It's a blow but the cover available shows that our squad has much more depth than at the start of the season.
  16. For those outwith the UK.
  17. I think there will significant movement in both squads and getting recruitment right will be vital come the new season,....although more important might be the possibility of a new manager at Ibrox. They will have more financial muscle if they choose to use it but that didn't stop us having a better winter transfer window than them.
  18. Hardie surely has to be the Championship's top goalscorer since the turn of the year. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up. Disappointing to see neither Wilson or Burt start for a struggling Dumbarton.
  19. Another positive transfer window in the summer will go a long way to making us competitive and able to achieve a better consistency of result. I have a hunch that if 'the gap' is noticeably closing that celtic will go out and spend some relatively big money in the summer. What that would actually mean we'd have to wait and see. One thing that may increase is their wage bill and the pressure to make the CL group stages although they have players to sell for decent money to make up any shortfalls.
  20. Miller, Cummings and Herrera offer differing variations of a forward option. Miller and Cummings are a given but Herrera is probably there because he can be a 'target man'. O'Hallaron would seem to be out of favour and/or rightly way behind Murphy/Candeias in the pecking order. IMHO we now play in such a way and have enough in midfield to discount Kranjcar. Harsh but I don't think he is up to it anymore.
  21. I actually listened to it on the Sunday on the podcast. The interview comes up at 24 mins in the link below https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05z7r21#play
  22. After Saturdays game, Gordon interviewed Levein via a telephone line, during which, the Hearts manager basically held his hands up and admitted that his team had been deservedly beaten. IIRC, any moans he had were reserved for his own players.
