I think they've both scored 18 goals (League and Cup) if you don't include penalties. Boyd has scored 3 penalties on top of that.

You put Morelos in a team that has a manager who knows what he is doing and he'll do a lot better than a 35 year old Kris Boyd.

I don't see how you can do anything other than make an immediate change ahead of the 5 remaining League games, even if it's only another caretaker until the end of the season. When something is so obviously broken, you need to do something about it. Murty being in charge of the Hearts game at Ibrox on Sunday and beyond is asking for more punishment and a potential 5th place finish.

He's a very good player who generally contributes a lot and works well in the system that we've had some success with. However, he's also a young guy with broken English playing in a foreign country with a team that when things don't go well, the pressure becomes intense. He's also played without a rest for a long time (no close season last summer). The problem isn't Morelos, it's a lot bigger than that and in the end it causes the whole ship to wobble.

The next manager needs to be a lot more than tactically astute. I think the idea of younger Head Coaches under a DoF gets flung out of the window now. The pressure would have us go through them like golf balls. We need an experienced and respected, proven manager. The board have put themselves in a very difficult position. - How Warburton ended - Caixinha - a lot of contracts to honour but with little prospective return - Personal Finances at stake - Dependence on ST money / yesterday / timing - 'attack' on McInnes won't curry favour with potential candidates - After PLG, PC and what DK said in December, suitable 'foreign' candidates will be limited. - There aren't many suitable Scottish candidates that I can see beyond Clarke and possibly Alex Neil. - Other British managers maybe where there are more candidates who'd want the job.

Whilst you make some valid points, Graeme Murty isn't free from blame wrt team performance.

I don't disagree with much of what you say there. Hopefully we start seeing some movement (Murty gone from first team) by tomorrow.

That Scottish Cup win in 1973 was 'my first trophy' as a young supporter, my first game attended was in early 1974 and it was 1975 when we won the League at Easter Road, I was there. I'm afraid there isn't a Jock Wallace out there these days. Nor would the old fashioned methods go down too well today. It's a shame because it's just what we could do with. Another difference is the quality of players he had at his disposal,...they'd just won a European trophy when he took over the main job. Lastly, the finances weren't really that much of an issue then, at least relative to today. Today, European football beyond the summer is a challenge, far less continental trophies and we've recently climbed through the divisions. The board haven't made good managerial appointments and two disasterous summer transfer windows have us on the backfoot whilst Celtic are in the strongest financial state that I have known. As far as being 'attractive' I'd agree but not all management candidates now in 2018 will agree....but aslong as we can find the right man that doesn't matter. What it might do is limit our choice.

It's one thing being a supporter and another being a football manager considering their due diligence wrt to a future job. More especially, expectation levels relative to financial backing. There will be no shortage of willing candidates, but it's about getting a decent manager who isn't desperate for a job because he can't get one that pays as much, elsewhere.

However they go about it, I just hope they get it right this time. I think there will be a fair few of the better managers who aren't unemployed who won't want the Ibrox job under current circumstances.

We went out on to the park at Ibrox that day with belief that we could win the game,....however when it came to the crux, we shrank and basically bottled it (or at least to a degree). Today, we were scared from the get-go. Perhaps it had been drummed into them not to give anything away, hang back and not press to high but if so, we weren't remotely capable of carrying out that plan out and resembled a poor school team with so many unforced errors, it was hardly believable.

A lot of these players are better than the way they are playing today. There is no belief or mentality that we could win, they have looked scared.

The way these players are going about things, it wouldn't make any difference.

That was as bad a 45 minutes as we could have played. Nothing there, nothing. This team could end up 4th or 5th in the league.

I think he could have read anything and it would have told him the need to match up in the middle. The important thing is he appears to have altered things accordingly. Now the players need to do the business and in the middle it won't be easy.....but then the best things are never easy.
