  1. Guardiola wasnt a "stand-out"
  2. Before you leave can you simply tell us whose perception it was ?
  3. I don't want an argument, I only asked a question. Whose perception was it ?
  4. So when you wrote "...the perception is..." Whose perception is it or where exactly did you come accross it ? Given, there are many tens of thousands of legal experts that have sprung up in the west of Scotland in recent years.
  5. Is it your opinion or is it what you said "...the perception is..." ?
  6. Whose perception,.....The Huddleboard, The Rangers Monitor ?
  7. The status quo wasn't an option, the alternatives weren't abundant and it's basically about filling the breach, hope the malaise slows down and reaching the end of the season. Given that the 3 games will come and go within 8 days, it'll be about heads down, get on with it and ignore any flak.
  8. I don't see any "sniping" on here. On the other hand, criticism is part and parcel of football.
  9. Don't kid yourself. They simply get more out of watching us suffer then anything to do with their own club. The irony being that being utterly transfixed with what is happening at what they say is a new club is the biggest contradiction I've ever known within Scottish fitbaw.
  10. Don't know. Could probably do with a complete break until the end of the season and then review the situation.
  11. It's better the change is made.
  12. If Murphy had said something definitive, it might be worth more attention. What he said was in parts positive and in others left up in the air. Whilst his mate is negotiating, you wouldn't expect anything else.
  13. If you need to ask then you obviously aren't made of the right stuff, now get the F out of my office and back to your laptop !
  14. That is contradicted by the Roddy Forsyth piece or in other words there is a lot of noise out there at this time and whilst budgets will be a fundamental issue wrt negotiations, we won't really know until we really know.

    Silence!

With the news that Murty has stepped down, the silence would seem to have had a good reason behind it. AJ's words about Murty a week or so ago now look predictably hollow and you have a board that don't look very clever.
  16. Good, the dam needed to break. The status quo wouldn't have been pretty to watch for the next few weeks. I guess it's been delayed until the club have someone to step-in. What about Rosseau ?
  17. What Danny Murphy quotes ?

    Silence!

Agreed. If you have nothing to say, it's best you stay silent. Too often the club have come out with clumsey statements that are designed to placate the support in the very short-ter, opposed to having any real effect on events. Regards the aftermatch interviews, there have been rumours of why that decision may have been taken. It would certainly seem as if something out of the ordinary happened for a 'lockdown' decision to have been made. As an aside (relevant or not), I don't think Jim Traynor is the man that Rangers should have making any such decisions or writing statements. He isn't up to it and his apparent output comes accross to me as generally angry reactionism that doesn't work, opposed to having a base in intelligent thought.
  19. When given the job until the end of the season, Murty literaly got spruced up, put the suit on and pretty much seemed to decide that this was an opportunity opposed to the very short-term stopgap he'd been before. Prior to that, the warning signs were there in GM's reaction to defeat at Dundee. It was unusual and awkward watching him struggling to hold back tears. God knows what the players made of that. The board apporinted Jimmy Nicholl in what I considered to be a smart move to bolster the man-management aspect of the coaching team as they went over to the States for a Winter trip. It certainly didn't do any harm when you look at how the next 2 to 3 months went. Happy players were scoring goals, winning football matches and making many think that Murty might actually be the answer. At that point Murty enjoyed the praise. He was a manager who in two games against Celtic hadn't been beaten but it was that opposition who would show how fragile the current set-up actually was. It showed that our dressing room was splintered and Murty didn't have any control. No leadership anywhere, just a collection of individuals doing their own thing, badly. Murty isn't a person who should be immune to criticism but he is far from the only one and IMO he shouldn't have been given the extended gig in the first place.
  20. Well done lads ! Smoother, shorter (better for it) and well balanced between the three
  21. It's a done deal when it's done.
  22. Perseverence (or jumping off a cliff) seems to be quite common amongst some that try and convey 'modern approaches', eg. Warburton and Rodgers (in Europe). I think there is a point when players must shrug their shoulders, wonder wthef and go out onto the park with a sense of inevitability. ----------------------- ps. even 'modern day messageboarders' seem to keep repeatiing themselves and don't seem to ever get the point
  23. There is good reason why the lack of experience issue can be brought up but balanced reporting would also look at the positive.
  24. Interesting.......................... I wonder if they'll consider asking him to join up now ?
  25. It's an unpleasent thought but he conciously did that job for a large reward.
