Whatever TV company were covering the game did their best to highlight the incident with multiple replays. Naismith will probably get a call from the compliance officer this week but maybe he thought "win win situation" as he headed toward the chocolate hardman.

Just a slight slant off topic but my 'International honours' include being sub for Bermuda in a rugby match against a Royal Navy ship that was in port. This was I think 84 or 85, so you may not recall the match

The sheep aren't made of stern stuff so I'd give us a chance of taking something up there but the thing is, our team isn't really a team anymore, they are a collection of indivduals wanting the end of the season to come.

Post-split fixtures thus far have tended to go to form / reflect who has something to play for. We managed to beat negative set-ups from Hearts and Killie that had an end of season feel. We lost heavily on the other side of the city as they had a big carrot dangling. Aberdeen have beaten Hearts and Killie and drawn with Hibs who are also in fight for 2nd place. Hibs have beaten Celtic and Killie and drawn with Aberdeen who are also in fight for 2nd place. ------------- The one notable result was Edinburgh green beating Glasgow green but that wasn't as much of a surprise as it would have been in 'usual circumstances'. Rangers 2 important wins and a predictable defeat with air of no fight when going gets tough Aberdeen and Hibs both 7 points from 9 Hearts and Killie are 0 points from 15 ------------------- Aberdeen v Rangers Hearts v Hibs Hibs v Rangers Celtic v Aberdeen Will we be up for a sustained battle at Aberdeen ? If we aren't, we'll lose. If Hibs need to win that game next Sunday, the sad probability is they will. We have 68 points (67 final total last season) and I'll be surprised if this team add to it.

Good luck Sir Alex

Commercial Dept. need to be quick off the mark on various angles.

Kilmarnock seem to have their main players back and if they are up for it will probably give our defence, with Halliday on the left, something to think about. We need to do likewise to theirs.
-
Perhaps there is s a lack of interest amongst the three you mention, certainly no match sharpness. Substitute would be a change of system.

Looking on the 'brightside' with Chris McLaughlin...............

El Rangers ficha como entrenador a Steven Gerrard https://elpais.com/deportes/2018/05/04/actualidad/1525444047_950226.html -------------- Spanish national 'broadsheet' Was up near the top of the page yesterday

I don't know how twitter work exactly but that pic along with explanation should be tweeted widely down south by those Bears with accounts and reach.
-
Well done whoever came up with that graphic (map). Get it tweeted far and wide.

Posted the following in another thread but thought it also belonged here. Chris McLaughlin was brought in by the 5Live programme on SG/Rangers to answer questions of English pundits about the appointment. He forgot to inform them and the listeners that he nor anyone from BBC Scotland were at Ibrox for the press conference. ------------------ I think now would be a goodtime to make an effort to inform the BBC and viewers/listeners of the long standing BBC Scotland choice of not coming to Ibrox.

SG shouldn't say a word about Rodgers and let him keep mouthing off. I note that Rodger picked yesterday to bury some 'unpalatable backtracking' on the wonderkid Mussonda.

This lot have metaphorically died as a team and it'll depend on how many of the individuals come to the party. I think quite a few of them will feel very divorced from yesterdays proceedings but might get a 'push' if the atmosphere is good and we start well. I can't see Jimmy Nicholl being able to suddenly galvanise things but you could also say that Kilmarnock have lost their last two games and haven't anything tangible to play for (win bonus apart). In short, I haven't a clue what'll happen today.
-
Watched about half an hour of this game and the basic technical mistakes were embarrassingly numerous for the top tier in Scotland.
-
Gaffer, you highlight a very important aspect about the appointment ! I think the older Bears sometimes don't realise that the youngest of the younger generations don't know what success is at Rangers and reading about past decades only sustains most for so long. This needs to be more than a quick fix of mega attention.
-
Might be a bluff or mean nothing but in the behind the scenes/SG video from yesterday, you see Jimmy Bell in the dressing room, hanging the tops for tomorrow and Windass went up. He might provisionly be in the 18 man match-day squad.

Mrs Rodgers will be getting jealous.

Getting them onside is a stretch with some and an impossibility with others but we could box a lot more clever than we do. Traynor should get binned IMO, he often makes things worse.
