  1. Good to have a Croat back in the squad, they tend to adapt and do fairly well.
  2. Perhaps we've went for or been offered Ryan Kent,.... given the prospective Wilson loan seems to be off.
  3. Yes, it's vital IMO that we get as much of the squad sorted out as possible for pre-season together.
  4. I reckon the Compliance Officer position would be better if it came with a fixed term of say 2 or 3 years.
  5. deleted given the joke doesn't work without the post that came before it before threads were merged.
  6. Looking at the article that Bluedell posted it says he'll leave in late summer, which would suggest he'll still be in post when the hearing on the 26th of this month is heard. How that hearing will be set-up in terms of panel and/or senior legal figure, I've yet to hear.
  7. The kitchen is going to get hot....................
  8. Getting a decent contract elsewhere whilst his ticket is relatively warm.
  9. I saw McGlennan/resigns...... and for half a second thought/hoped it was MacLennan at the SPFL. The obvious thought is that he wants to leave the building before the two charges against Rangers are heard on the 26th of this month.
  10. Behind a paywall but the jist of it is..............Tony McGlennan (compliance officer) resigns from SFA post https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/tony-mcglennan-resigns-from-sfa-post-mclk8d6vl ----------------------------- No idea of the backstory but given recent events, you have to wonder..................
  11. A 21 year old centre-half with enough about him to get a call-up from the full Croatian team (end of last season) must have something about him. Admittedly the (last) 7 minutes he got on the pitch, the Croatian central defence didn't appear to look very clever......(although they were stretched partly down to having a player sent off on 77 mins). For the goal Crotia lost, Katic isn't the offender (he's wearing the number 2 shirt). Good to see a younger player linked (regards squad age balance and resale potential).
  12. Sounds almost too good to be true. Here's hoping !
  13. Alan Stubbs says Ovie Ejaria must show he can handle Ibrox pressure Alan Stubbs is adamant the success of on-loan Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria will come down to temperament as much as talent – and reckons Celtic flop Charly Musonda should serve as a cautionary tale. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/alan-stubbs-says-ovie-ejaria-must-show-he-can-handle-ibrox-pressure-1-4752256 -------------------------- You couldn't make it up. You have an article about the St.Mirren managers opinion on a Rangers loan signing which immediately casts a negative light by using the Charlie 'wonderkid' Mussonda comparison.
  14. This post will self destruct in 15 minutes..................tick
  15. Good post Frankie, I think that pretty much sums it up.
  16. List A has to be submitted online by the following fixed deadlines: 6 July 2018 (24.00CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round; For the qualifying phase and the play-offs, a club may register a maximum of two new eligible players on List A after the above-mentioned deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected. Such registration must be completed by 24.00CET on the day before the relevant first-leg match and the club’s association must confirm in bottom of page 39 and continuation......link below https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/55/82/82/2558282_DOWNLOAD.pdf
  17. You have to hope that the club carried out a robust proceedure that will stand up to the appeal but in the back of your mind, you kind of know that it will fall apart. This is a judgement before the evidence is in but so much of what is going on seems to point at the necessity of bringing in a competent and hard-nosed CEO to manage the day to day. Whilst not a direct comparison as to motives/competence, there is something of the Bain/Sir Duped about Robertson/Dave King.
  18. Sorry but that is info I can't divulge.
  19. MIller was on the radio this afternoon (RadioScotland) and was mildly raging about 'the treatment' he'd had to endure this season at Ibrox, not once but twice. He didn't go into specifics but talked of having his say on everything once the current dispute is over and mentioned defamation. The anchor didn't think to mention that if it happened twice under two different managers, perhaps it had more than something to do with Miller himself.
  20. Scotland lost on penalties to Turkey and finish 4th. Burke was the only one to miss. We also missed a penalty (Harvy St.Clair / 60th min) in normal time, 0-0 FT. McCrorie, Burt and Middleton all played a part in the match.
  21. At this stage 2.6M plus 7 home games would be like Xmas and help our finances and co-efficient significantly. Hope rather than expectation. .
  22. I'm not sure where we are at. We had to get one up and running first and I don't know where we are in it's development.
