Being divided into a various countries probably allows more players to make a name for themselves and rise to prominence. Who knows what Yugoslavian managers based their selections on in the past. The closest Yugoslavia came to success was probably when the team who took their place at the 1992 Euros, Denmark, won it.

Don't take the Colin Nish, it's just not nice -
The 3 sides at the top of the pre-tournament betting for winning the WC have all played and to varying degrees, dissappointed. It's often the case that the big sides start slowly and get better as the tournament goes on, eg. Spain lost the first group game in 2010 and won the competition. Germany lost the first game in 82 and made the final. Over the years, Italy were the most consistent at this 'approach'. Over the last half century or so, there have been 4 main teams who have enjoyed WC success, Brazil, (W) Germany, Argentina and Italy. The Netherlands poked their noses in as beaten Finalists in 74 and 78. Not until the French won it in 98 did a team outside the 'big 4' make a Final again. Since then it has opened up a little with France, Spain and the Netherlands playing a part and 2010 saw the first ever final without a 'big 4' team (started in 1930). My main point being is that the first round of fixtures will have given more hope to sides like Belguim, Croatia, Portugal, England that this is a real opportunity.

They might have helped with paying part of his contract. Money to us that then goes to him.

Undisclosed Fee I'm going for 75 quid !

Possibility of a Germany v Brazil confrontation in the last 16 now becomes a real possibility.
-
We'll see how Germany react but the reports of them struggling coming into this tournament make sense. Mexico should have scored three before HT, they got to the last third very well but lacked quality with the final pass/decision.
-
The Germans were relatively poor IMO. They had a lot of the ball but didn't really look like penetrating at any stage. Mexico wanted it more and gt what they deserved.
-
Germans are too deliberate and slow in build-up,...not dynamic enough.
-
Mexico and Germany serving up the second decent game of the WC Two of the favourites, Spain and Germany have been shown to be very vulnerable to the counter-attack.

Warburton signed him on the back of him being a big part of a St.Johnstone win at Ibrox. The thing is, MO'H didn't change his ways.......he simply continued to do everything in his power to f**k Rangers. The main difference being we started to pay him good money for it.

I'd guess that the club (inc. SG) would always say that at this stage in the ongoing 'Wallace process'. I think it means diddly squat. -

No,.............. you make me feel better about only having 4 points . You also provide a service to those who might fancy a wager, ie. what outcomes not to go for ! -

A big plus I see with Morelos is that despite his finishing going off and a sulky demeanour, he doesn't hide and works very hard to contribute to the team. -
The obvious question that arises is how do we fit in and finance the relatively substantial transfer activity/new wages in conjunction with those on the pay-roll who are deemed surplus to requirements. I've lost track tbh but is there another share issue likely in the coming months ?

Does Alfredo eat a lot of beanz ? It's quite a feat to achieve a 5 metre exclusion zone within a group of players walking into an airport I doubt Morelos or Wallace will be starting at Aberdeen. -
Yes, it's a major positive but as Gunsliger says you have to manage the funds wrt cashflow throughout the season and have provisions ready, if need be. Last season we had to bring in Close Brothers. Anything drawn down on that facility should be paid back out of the current ST money.

SPL fixtures 2018/19; Aberdeen v Rangers first game
buster. replied to JFK-1's topic in Rangers Chat
The calculation made will be that the following teams will make the Top Six Rangers Celtic Aberdeen Hibs Hearts One other If St.Mirren, Dundee, St.Johnstone or Kilmarnock were to be 'one other' then I think it can work.
