  1. Can't play another team from same country rule will see Molde/Hibs put into a different grouping for draw. Bert Kassie says......For the draw of the 4th round the 26 teams are probably divided into 2 groups of 8 teams and 1 groups of 10 teams. As per other draws this summer Rangers/Maribor will have a list of 4 or 5 possibile opponents allocated on the morning of the draw. It'll be Partizan
  2. Notable In the last 3 seasons (including this one) Maribor have played 8 Summer qualifiers at Home and conceded one goal in the 720 minutes. In the 8 corresponding away matches, Maribor have scored in 7, the only one they failed to score was 8 days ago. Without being brilliant, they seem to have developed an effective way of getting through qualifiers. Will be a big test. We could really do with a clean sheet at Ibrox in the first leg, I'd take 1-0 now.
  3. From Macedonia in the South to Slovenia in the North, via Croatia........... ....and it just happens that a potential play-off round has the possibility of 2 Serbian teams being in the other half of the draw. There is a 'T-Shirt' design in this. ---------------------------------------------------------- Draw or the 4th round is on Monday. For the draw of the 4th round the 26 teams are probably divided into 2 groups of 8 teams and 1 groups of 10 teams. https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/seedel2018.html The list below presumes the highest seed of the 3rd round ties will get through. eg. Maribor, who have a high enough co-ff. to be in the seeded part of 4th round draw. This means if we get through, we will already have benefitted from being seeded in 4th round draw. Potential opponents in 4th round for Rangers/Maribor would come from 3rd round ties played by teams on the right hand side of graphic below. 4. Lawrie, not sure if still on it but he certainly used to come on regularly and use words not often heard on such phone-in. Your use of "pusillanimous" had me looking it up for definition
  5. I think Coulibaly and Jack together will be perfect for the SPFL....... I might be wrong but I don't think Ejaria is. Obviously, he needs to be given a chance but I doubt he'll end up with his 70% of gamtime forthe seaon. I thought Arfield looked like he's well up for the challenge and will do a job though.
  6. Given this is the Clyde SSB thread,...are you auditioning to be our equivalent of Lawrie from Dennistoun ?

  8. Barišić, the left-back will be 26 in November and has been with Osijek since 2016. Definitely worth a cheeky inquiry as to his contractual situation.
  9. If I'm reading the seedings correctly Rangers or Maribor could be drawn against Burnley or Istanbul Basaksehir Below is the third round line up (not including CL drop-outs who have a seperate draw). 11. Henty didn't really perform against us but would take the full-back gladly. Apparently he was in the Croatian preliminary WC squad but didn't make the final cut, ie. he wouldn't come cheap but would represent quality and value. However, our priorities seem to be CH and CF.
  12. Lot's of positives, the main being that we are through to play Maribor. We work hard, play some decent stuff but too often it breaks down and we don't create as many clear chances a we should. Work-in-progress that is far from where we want to be but shows improvement will do fine for now. Talking about Progres, they are through to the third round as well
  13. Very encouraging to see an 18 year old force his way into the squad. Here's hoping he takes the opportunity.
  14. We are still a work-in-progress feeling our way and have no solid base on which to feel ubber confident yet. I'm sure SG will say the right things to them,..... but it's about how the players perform in the biggest game to date and react to certain situations in front of a big Ibrox crowd. The important thing is to get through and I think we will.
  15. Anyone with a memory as to how much better Rangers teams too often tripped up in Europe would agree.
  16. She isn't "hot" relative to really 'hot burdz' but within the Scottish 'marketplace' she is way above average,...a good looking lass with a personality and a brain.
  17. I always thought Stu was a burd !
  18. SDI were and are never giving up leverage easily or cheaply. You look back to Spring 2012 and the opportunity that seemed to exist had those involved on 'our side' pushed their boats out more. It would have been much cheaper in the longrun.
  19. Credit where credit is due wrt the board / football operation / Mark Allen..........we got most of our business done early doors and that has allowed the new management team to have a solid start.
  20. Moving the ball back to front I don't think it a good idea to let them pin us back for long periods (like first 15mins of 2nd half in Croatia) because sooner or later they'll score. It may happen late on but we shouldn't let it happen in the first half. We need to improve on getting the ball out of our defensive third with some composure and control even when high pressed against. Sometimes it'll be better to hoof it up the park but we need to work on the short passing under pressure, so far it's been up and down. Being able to keep the ball would be our best form of defence but it ain't our strongest suit.
  21. If he stays (doubtful), Wallace will probably have a longterm niggle. It'll be Flannagan on the left tonight.
  22. Are they even registered in our squad with UEFA ?
  23. StuGers Real name: Brad Pitt Residence: Monaco Hope I don't get banned for giving out personal details.............
  24. Yes, it would be welcome ! But we don't want to press and leave gaps. In some ways this will be a better test for the defence when it comes to defensive shape/cover when we attack. They will approach the game thinking 2 goals will put them in a strong position. We need to defend well.
