It'll be fantastic to watch the fall-out !!! More important for me is that I can now see a route towards winning the title starting to take shape.

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals

Bloody Hell, that was quick ! Well done to the club for this one. I think he'll be as successful as our last signing from a European opponent, Carlos Cuellar. -
Europa League QR3: Rangers / Maribor v FC Ufa / Progres

It's like England in the WC. Although I reckon Maribor will be a tough nut to crack unless we start firing middle to front. Could be a WS style 0-0 after 210 minutes -

The scrote is getting his dig in. I think our current squad is capable of second place but to put some daylight between us and the rest and get closer to Celtic, we'll need to improve the squad before the end of the month. -

It's doubtful they'll get past the Russian team, Ufa........... but at least they've gone further in the competition than the sheep. I'd take Apollen / Dinamo -
SG has known about the middle to front issue from day one. You can't imagine it not being addressed before the end of the month,....although the sooner the better. The delay makes you think a loan from an English club may still be on the cards.

That line-up reflects the benefits of jumping aboard the seeding of Maribor. Now we need to beat them and take advantage of this route. -

Revisit at end of transfer window. -
1. You have the Morelos sending off which any appeal will treat as a stand alone event in relation to the rules. 2. The broader issue of how officials have treated Rangers over a period of time and looking for a way to reverse this tendency. Wrt 2, I think SG is right to highlight this and should continue to do so when decisions go against us. I reckon it's the only way to put pressure on officals to stop stamping over Rangers, the team who previously didn't say much in the way of protest. Celtic (usually via Rodgers) have done this successfully for a while.

The St.Johnstone player should have been sent off. You can't use 'mistakes' to credibily ask for mitigation. Well you can but it won't get you anywhere regards the appeal but it is useful in showing an example of the treatment of our players. A video that contained the bad decisions from last season would be useful if anyone has the ability to do it. The Stokes/Beaton game is an excellent example to highlight.

Aslong as there is probable benefit to be derived then fine. To go through the process and get nothing would give fuel and another set of headlines to mitigate the general thrust of what SG said yesterday.

I don't think Aberdeen will make the top three this season, I reckon Hibs will finish 3rd and the sheep will be fighting with Hearts and Kilmarnock for 4th. -
Make noise about about other challenges in the game that were dealt with much more leniently, yes.....over a period it'll mean we get a better 'deal' from officials. Appeal the Morelos decision, only if there is a realistic chance of it being overturned.

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals
buster. replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
I could live with that. He's the type of player that you need in your team for winning titles....and I'd see him as a prudent investment that further down the line would most probably be sold on for an Alan Hutton type price. Obviously need to sort middle to front but if such a bargain is offered and we have the means, take it. Three questions 1. How much would an English Championship club want for him ?.....silly number 2. Is he as good as Tierney (the '20M left-back') ?.........not much in it from what I've seen 3. Does 2.2M sound too good to be true ?.........yes -

I saw a game in which we should have won and would have done with some ease had we been better middle to front. I saw Morelos fall for the provocation routine and get sent off for something I doubt we'll appeal because we won't get anywhere with it. Behind closed doors, I'd be more angry with Morelos than the officials. We got the penalty and yes, there was a case for a red card. The guy who threw the ball at Katic could have seen red if 'letter of law' was being applied. Would have been soft but given the Morelos sending off, another case for a red card. I'd have to see the Stevie May challenge on Jack again but at the time it looked clumsy and a yellow card. Jack's injury seems to have come from a whiplash effect, possibly the brain getting jolted within the skull. --------------------- Bottomline - Frustration from a late equaliser but a lot to be happy about. - As SG said after first game, middle to front needs sorted and until we do we won't get the results our play deserves. - Some poor referee decisions that didn't help us but the bigger issue is sorting middle to front. Do that and we take officials out of the equation. -

I think it's very encouraging that the 'rookie manager' and his staff showed that they could deal with adversity so quickly and effectively. I have to say, in a way that was much more effective than I've seen a lot of experienced managers do it. -

The main thing I take from today is optimism for the future. SG&Co look to me as if they know what they are doing, they know what they want, can communicate to players and get them 'to play'. -

IMO we are overdoing the officials angle today. Sometimes games happen that justify it, eg. first Hibs game at Ibrox last season with Stokes/Beaton playing a starring role. But I don't think today does. -

Watching it in realtime Arfield did enough wrt keeping his head in place / not giving way to make it easy for the ref to book them both. Had Arfield been 'cute', he may have been able to have got more out of it given that the sheep player is the main aggressor (instigator). -

Both the Aberdeen player and Arfield confronted one another. The referee was either going to tell both to wind it in and/or book them both. Nothing to complain about regards that card.
