match thread (image) [FT] Kilmarnock 1 - 3 Rangers (Morelos 28, 43, 74)

When you have a professional set-up and organisation, it tends to gives players more guidance as to what exactly to do and have players surrounding him doing their part within that organised team. ie. it's a better platform and more precise remit within a more functional set-up. You'll tend to see players being more effective. Our success thus far is down to not only Gerrard, who inspires and leads,... but very much the management and coaching team as a whole. -

They are grasping at straws for something to say because they don't want to comment on our improvement #Predictable -

We've taken out several parts of the old Yugoslavia en route to the play off round. Now in the League Cup, it's the demolition of Ayrshire ! -

Well done,.....another professional job.............rather points to having a professional set-up. Too many injuries and yellow cards piling up for this size of squad. We need to get some players in. -

Morelos scored a first-half hat-trick but........ Last hat-trick by a Rangers player at Rugby Park ?....Lafferty ! For all that McGregor has been excellent this season, Fod made the best save by a Rangers keeper to date in the SG era. -

I don't think the mgmt. team fully trust Sadiq and it shows why we desperately need another forward in prior to the first leg against Ufa. Far from easy, agreed ! -
Nothing to see............They'll get the visa's !

Pity this weekend has to be the League Cup. Had they had a league fixture, they might have dropped more points.

When I was a kid, I'd sometimes carried out mock cup draws. Allocating teams numbers, writing the number on a wee scrap of paper and making a draw from them. I don't know if it was the 'feel-good' factor or what but yesterday after the first 6 ties had a winner, I made 'my draw' for the next round of the League Cup and it came out ...............Kilmarnock or Rangers v Motherwell and Celtic v Hearts.

It was the management teams reaction to the sending off and the subsequent team performance at Aberdeen that convinced me that something significant was brewing and that the 'rookie manager' (and staff) had a very good, almost immediate and competent grasp on what their remit entailed. As a support we tend to be fickle, up and down like a yoyo and when the first setback arrives some will shout and complain. Hopefully the majority recognise that we are improving significantly and teething problems, especially with a light sqaud are inevitable. The most important thing in front of us at the moment IMO, is the EL qualifiers (not the OF match). Success would mean an 8 figure sum and the benefits that could bring over the next 18 months.

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting that Bearger was spinning. I was refering to the article from which Bearger was getting the info from and from which any discussion regards to wording should IMO be focused.
-
Time to draw-up a meaningful sitrep is still after the game on 2nd of September and that includes a review of the squad.
-
It's often to spin a line to their own support, ie. Don't look at the signings we didn't get but look at the players we managed to keep worth XXM. However, it usually somes with high speculation rather than firm bids. I see the source in the OP is 'Goal', which isn't worth shit tbh. That said, their support isn't in the mood for this type of spin and it would most probably rebound on the board. Their support want to see the biscuit tin opened and money going out the way and not on disco lights.

Porto are a team who tend to sell players on to bigger leagues at 20M+. Ntcham is a decent player and one of the few buys Rodgers and his staff have got right and is now worth a few quid. However, they haven't made the CL and Celtic aren't in as good a negotiating position. The other important factor is if the player wants to leave or not. Again lack of CL is a factor as will be more money...so my guess is he will. If the bid of 13M by Porto is fact, I doubt they'd want to go much higher as they look at players to sell for profit further down line.
-
At those prices perhaps you get 'a leg over' thrown in.
-
The "thrown out" line looks like deliberately placed spin to be pushed to the support. Doesn't tend to be a good sign.
