Perhaps a note made to observe progress but I very much doubt there will be any firm interest as yet at a club that SG would see as progression. The plus is that the one club we know he wants to manage one day (Liverpool) has an excellent manager and are operating at a level that won't consider SG for the main job until he compiles a body of work that suggests he's ready. I think SG will want to win the League up here before he goes. I'd settle for him leaving at the end of 19/20, if we were to win the League that season. -
I don't think Sadiq is trusted unless we are a couple of goals to the good. Desperately need decent back-up.
-
I'd be more inclined to consider that had it not been with the last two managers.

Might suit those who have decided to leave Scotland at the end of their stint. From C.O. @ the SFA................to SFA on a beach in COsamui

We have been a big fish in a small pool and that was enough for many. You listen to Ian Durrant and Derek Ferguson talk of how our fitness was way behind that of clubs like Hearts and you relate that to so many nights in Europe where the opposition were stronger, faster, fitter and had better players than Hearts. The obvious 'problem' that would arise if SG&Co continue in the same vein, is keeping them. I'd hope that SG sees this job and main objective (winning the League) as one he wants to tick off before he were to go. -

"Lazy stereotypes" have always been a tool of a sub standard and repetitive Scottish fitbaw media pack. Generally, Scottish fitbaw gets the media it deserves. It's a low end quality enviroment and most things around it, from the pies to players, to the press represent that. -

In this case, I think it's more the colour of the shirt, than of his skin that is the underlying reason behind the skewed observations that come his way from the 'usual suspects'. -

Reflecting on decades of supporting the club, I often think we haven't made the most out of what we had. We are a big club who most of the time didn't have a completely solid professional approach/set-up. What is most encouraging about the new management and coaching staff is that you get the distinct impression that they bring real professionalism with them. Professionalism will help make the base we are building more solid. Single results may go against us but the big picture and medium term look good. -
What is happening in football is an extension of the wider society and the consequences of decades of neo-liberal economics. ie. the distribution of wealth (and therefore power) is getting heavily skewed upwards.

He's really unlucky how trouble seems to follow him around. I can imagine there will be a queue of clubs wanting to install him as their new manager given how he can bring people together and create harmoney.

I think todays attendence was higher than any League match at Rugby park last season, probably longer. -

When you have a professional set-up and organisation, it tends to gives players more guidance as to what exactly to do and have players surrounding him doing their part within that organised team. ie. it's a better platform and more precise remit within a more functional set-up. You'll tend to see players being more effective. Our success thus far is down to not only Gerrard, who inspires and leads,... but very much the management and coaching team as a whole. -

They are grasping at straws for something to say because they don't want to comment on our improvement #Predictable -

We've taken out several parts of the old Yugoslavia en route to the play off round. Now in the League Cup, it's the demolition of Ayrshire ! -

Well done,.....another professional job.............rather points to having a professional set-up. Too many injuries and yellow cards piling up for this size of squad. We need to get some players in. -

Morelos scored a first-half hat-trick but........ Last hat-trick by a Rangers player at Rugby Park ?....Lafferty ! For all that McGregor has been excellent this season, Fod made the best save by a Rangers keeper to date in the SG era. -

I don't think the mgmt. team fully trust Sadiq and it shows why we desperately need another forward in prior to the first leg against Ufa. Far from easy, agreed ! -
Nothing to see............They'll get the visa's !

Pity this weekend has to be the League Cup. Had they had a league fixture, they might have dropped more points.

When I was a kid, I'd sometimes carried out mock cup draws. Allocating teams numbers, writing the number on a wee scrap of paper and making a draw from them. I don't know if it was the 'feel-good' factor or what but yesterday after the first 6 ties had a winner, I made 'my draw' for the next round of the League Cup and it came out ...............Kilmarnock or Rangers v Motherwell and Celtic v Hearts.
