  1. Lafferty League 18/19 Minutes: 138 Goals: 3 #Prolific Any comment Ser Barr ?............
  2. Breath...........One of those crazy games where every attack could end up in a goal. 1. Defensively 3-5-2 looks full of holes and we haven't been solid. Stacks of effort from us but too easy for Motherwell to create. 2. He's 7 foot and plays the flute.......tick 3. Up front Morelos and Lafferty are dangerous. 4. Balls from either flank have quality
  3. But using that example, Brighton beat Man Utd last week..............could that mean Accies will trumph today ?
  4. It makes sense. You have natural right footed delivery from the right and left from the left. You share workload up front, take onus off Morelos and put more pressure on Motherwell CH's. Midfield will be busy, be more direct. You also have Flanagan on the pitch who isn't a shrinking violet.
  5. I spoke to SG this morning and he thought it Arfield's turn for a rest.
  6. You can get 4/1 for a red card in match (bet365) Craig Thomson has shown 3 red cards in his last 28 matches and there are two patterns. 1. All three were sending off players of teams playing against Celtic. 2. Two were the same player, Cedric Kipre of Motherwell (one rescinded). Aside, Celtic only won one of the three games.
  7. Perhaps people shouldn't be allowed out of their homes,....it's not safe out there ! But then, what's that about most accidents taking place at home,.........everybody go out ! Oh f**k, we are all going to die !!!!!!!!!!
  8. If he is the player I think he was,........I recall him being quite tidy on the ball with good ability to retain possession in tight spaces but final ball was poor. Hardly conclusive, given that was only based on half a game. A positive was that I was quite happy to see him get subbed.
  9. We've been dammed unlucky that the fixture has come so close to a match and trip that will tire us mentally and physically. If we get through in the EL, ..... at least we will still have momentum.
  10. I think the Gerrard appointment has been good for concentrating the minds of the movers and shakers, who in turn have given the OK for such a lot of generally costly movement, both in and out. Busy times for the football operation and they appear to have been concentrating more, as well.
  11. I ain't got no grass, honest ! Top Tip: Never incorporate lunchtime KO's to your acca !
  12. What an absolute clusterf**k and guess who picks up the bill !!
  13. First Rangers player I came face to face with, allbeit as a young lad. In his shop in Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh. Congratulations, John !
  14. Is that Ser Barristan Selmy and his mate in a more positive moment ?
  15. Three points are all that matters to me. If he gets banned for a couple of games, it's possible he'll end up missing games against our more direct rivals at the top of the table.....or in other words, it'll end up disadvantaging us. Sun 26/08/18 PRE Motherwell 13 : 15 Rangers More info Sat 01/09/18 PRE Dundee 16 : 00 Motherwell More info Sat 15/09/18 PRE Motherwell 16 : 00 Hearts More info Sat 22/09/18 PRE Aberdeen 16 : 00 Motherwell
  16. In other words, we don't know but the fact that he was photographed in light training helps put to bed any fears of a longer term injury. If the other midfielders are fit, I doubt he'll play on the plastic pitch in Russia but hope he might be ready for the 2nd of September. It would be a good fresh option to have after the long trip East.
  17. Has his moments but year on year, he doesn't seem to be improving his level.
  18. Someone with connections with the club ?
  19. Most important aspect of this is for the referee to do a professional job on Sunday and if employed, not to allow hammerthrower tactics to prosper. As for further punishment, I'll settle for us leaving Fir Park with 3 points.
  20. We've had a great start but we need to close out this first phase of the season that'll end next Sunday. The most important matter (for around 10M different reasons) is getting into the group stages. That would be a tangible and notable achievement. Thereafter, it's unfortunate that the OF game comes on the back of a long trip to Russia and mainly because of that, I'd take a draw, if offered.
  21. Man Utd had many years of success under Sir Alex Ferguson but it seems as though their board are determined to give others a chance now through three bad managerial appointments. 1. Ferguson nomination but Moyes wasn't backed by a less convinced board and what happened was inevitable. 2. Van Gaal is yesterdays man and his chartacter made for media confrontation and ridicule. Was backed and wasted a lot of money doing little better than Moyes. 3. Mourinho, 10 years earlier and maybe but The Miserable One is now past his sell-by date and causes trouble in proportion with his salary. It's not as if it's anything new, it happened at Real Madrid and Chelsea. Loads of money wasted. That isn't hindsight. I said the same as the appointments were made on historic threads on here. To me their board need to have a word with themselves and look to own some of the responsibility.
  22. Rod Stewart ?
  23. Maybe he's going by GMT (GonzoMeanTime) and he lives in Jo'burg.
  24. I'm not keen on your nail varnish
  25. Yes................If everyone is fit for 2nd Sept., it'll be Jack, Coulibaly and Arfield in the middle. Subject to a 'curveball' arriving in what is left of the transfer window.
