Got a bad feeling about this game but I'd caveat that by saying that's my Scottish pessimistic side speaking. -

No brainer. Tried and tested Euro line-up (except the injured Coulibaly) that have yet to concede a goal on the road. If it's going to plan, take Morelos off after 60 and split workload with Lafferty, 30 mins. If not, it'll be both on the park at the sametime. -

Why is the supposedly 5th best centre back at Nottingham Forrest currently such an important and sought after target ? I could understand it more if it wasn't a proposed loan. -

What I think the Motherwell game showed, is that we need to put he hours in and drill the players / 3-5-2 system. Looking at the players available prior to the game and thinking about the way Motherwell play, I thought we'd seriously consider 3-5-2 at Fir Park. Wasn't sure we'd use it given the limited time available to work on things between the EL game and the Sunday. -

I think we have to go with the four and set-up in a more compact way. The Motherwell game saw a first half with too much space between and behind defenders / channels for their forwards. -

Clinton was a long way short of even a "...good performance..."..... We need a professionl performance and simply find a way to be in the Nyon draw on Friday. -

This is going to be first and foremost about a much more compact defence than we saw at Motherwell,....as per previous EL away games this season.....0-0, 0-1, 0-0 respectively.....The one goal thus far came from a set-piece, leading to a Morelos goal. What was apparent at Motherwell is the team looked jaded in the second half. I wonder if it would have been better to go in at HT level, pposed to 2-3 up. We didn't show much ambition for a 4th goal and it was too long to hang-on. Wrt this European game, it's worrying if the team is getting leggy and more prone to mistakes. Keeping a clean sheet is about concentration, organisation and wee bit of luck. I have a feeling we won't be able to keep them out this time and that we're going to have to score if we want to go through. ps. Clinton lost becaue she ran a bad campaign and the DNC got caught at trying to fix a vote. We shouldn't think of doing a 'Clinton' and try and deflect to shift blame. We need to look to perform on the day and do another professional EL job...... -

You'd need the equivalent to a 'World Class' level referee to have absolute confidence and there aren't that many of them around (none in Scotland). Collum is rated quite highly in ref circles but is prone to the 'Hollywood error'.

Subject to getting the three at the back sorted out and organised better,........I think we have the players to make it quite dynamic. eg. Tav and Barisic supplying Laff and Alfie. -

Don't be scared of the 3-5-2. Once we get it drilled better, it will be an excellent option. -

It's a fair point. With Lafferty away with N.I., you have to hope they avoid injury. Morelos is going to need a holiday to get over the 'break'. We may end up seeing Sadiq after all. -

Haud on to Alfie and we'll end up getting big bucks. Pity about the amount of airmiles. Glasgow - Russia - Glasgow - Columbia - Glasgow -
When I looked at the fixtures back in June I thought we had likely been given an advantage wrt preperation for the OF game. I thought Celtic would be involved in Europe this week and that we would probably already be out. As we all know, instead, we have had an excellent run in the qualifiers and are very much still in the thick of it. What has thrown a spanner into the works is that we've been given some salt to add to the sweet draw of Ufa or Progres and that is a LONG trip into the depths of Russia, three days prior to the OF game. The only consolation is that Celtic will be playing on the Thursday as well, all be it in Glasgow against relatively poor opposition, opposed to Tuesday/Wednesday in CL. --------------- I don't think SG should speak too much about it prior to the matches. Don't give the players readymade excuses.

Sometimes it's little wonder they have been "...quick, quiet, and stress free..." given who they have been offloading and for how much. The phrase 'I'll drive him to the airport myself', comes to mind. -

After two referendums and a decade plus of social media interactions, polarisation is much more prevalent. Standards drop but it is what it is and if you are on the outside looking in, you'll likely get the arse end of what is going about. Politically, what might be considered the 'general Rangers majority interest' tends to act in a reactionary and disorganised manner and is about 3 steps behind................ We aren't very good at politics. -

A quick scan of our European history shows us having won the First leg 1-0, at Home in KO ties (ie. not group stage) a total of 9 times with the balance of success in our favour. We went on to get through the tie on 6 occasions but were put out three times. 67% success rate which is better than the general stats that say a 1-0 home victory in the first leg gives you a 61% of going through https://kassiesa.net/uefa/forum/view.php?archive=2008.Q3&topic=20080919192651.xml Six successful 60's: Rapid Vienna 70's: Young Boys of Berne and Lillestrom 80's: Katowice 90's: Anorthosis 00's: Red Star Three unsuccessful 80s: Osasuna 00's: Kaiserslautern 2010's: Progres
