  1. SG era Tangible and notable achievement Number One.........................Tick
  2. IIRC it is only the 6th time in our European history that we've got through 4 stages of European competition (all be it qualifiersthis time)
  3. Morelos: Invited the ref to send him off. European competition often see rules employed for those types of things, eg. Whittaker / Malmo. Flanagan's second yellow was softish. Ok if it's a first yellow but harsh for a second. As WalterBear says, let's enjoy for now.
  4. That's what I came on to post, FFS..........breath !!! Well done for getting through lads. EL draw tomorrow !! Morelos needs his arse booted. If he thinks being in the Columbia squad allows him to act the irresponsible Jeremy Hunt and risk our qualification, someone should have a 'quiet word'. I'd e tempted to start Lafferty in his place on Sunday.
  5. Dressing rooms I've known would drop him (not in a 'from the team' way)
  6. I'm angry but if we got a decent offer tonight, I'd let him go (if we could get a replacement in tomorrow). You can't trust him, period.
  7. Yes, and he's on a yellow. Heat off with the Ejaria goal. We concede but that can happen Self harm with a f**king stupid bit of petulance that crosses a line for me. Absolutely raging. Alamo, but at least we got to HT without conceding another We need to take stock and re-org.
  8. Ejaria is a machine
  9. Celtic top in with the Ufa fans Hope he's enjoying watching Rangers doing the business
  10. That's the way to start an away match Heat off,....Tell Flanagan to be careful.
  11. Much easier to come on for 15 minutes and play with some freedom than 70 having to juggle defensive responsibilities with attack. Today would be a welcome game for Kent to show a bit of end product.
  12. First goal is absolutely vital, I reckon whoever scores it will go through.
  13. In the several minutes they did aggressively look to score at Ibrox (just after we scored) we went to sleep and they had two excellent chances. They need to win this game and sooner or later they will come at us. I'd imagine this will include an initial mini-onslaught in the first few minutes. We need to try and take advantage on the counter. I'd like to see Kent have his best game in a Rangers top thus far.
  14. I'd agree in that seldom will we get a 'better route' in terms of opposition through the summer qualifiers and that we need to ride this wave and qualify for several reasons. There is a lot at stake and hence the nerves are jangling.
  15. Still don't know enough about Ufa so as well as pessimism, it's pretty much hot air. For me it's about the workload and signs that it's catching up with some of the players. Rather than try and hang-on to 0-0, I think this time we really need to try and score the first goal because if it's tight going into the last quarter, I'd be hiding behind the sofa.
  16. Got a bad feeling about this game but I'd caveat that by saying that's my Scottish pessimistic side speaking.
  17. No brainer. Tried and tested Euro line-up (except the injured Coulibaly) that have yet to concede a goal on the road. If it's going to plan, take Morelos off after 60 and split workload with Lafferty, 30 mins. If not, it'll be both on the park at the sametime.
  18. First goal Goldson....33/1 Katic 33/1 bet365
  19. Why is the supposedly 5th best centre back at Nottingham Forrest currently such an important and sought after target ? I could understand it more if it wasn't a proposed loan.
  20. What I think the Motherwell game showed, is that we need to put he hours in and drill the players / 3-5-2 system. Looking at the players available prior to the game and thinking about the way Motherwell play, I thought we'd seriously consider 3-5-2 at Fir Park. Wasn't sure we'd use it given the limited time available to work on things between the EL game and the Sunday.
  21. I think we have to go with the four and set-up in a more compact way. The Motherwell game saw a first half with too much space between and behind defenders / channels for their forwards.
  22. Clinton was a long way short of even a "...good performance..."..... We need a professionl performance and simply find a way to be in the Nyon draw on Friday.
  23. This is going to be first and foremost about a much more compact defence than we saw at Motherwell,....as per previous EL away games this season.....0-0, 0-1, 0-0 respectively.....The one goal thus far came from a set-piece, leading to a Morelos goal. What was apparent at Motherwell is the team looked jaded in the second half. I wonder if it would have been better to go in at HT level, pposed to 2-3 up. We didn't show much ambition for a 4th goal and it was too long to hang-on. Wrt this European game, it's worrying if the team is getting leggy and more prone to mistakes. Keeping a clean sheet is about concentration, organisation and wee bit of luck. I have a feeling we won't be able to keep them out this time and that we're going to have to score if we want to go through. ps. Clinton lost becaue she ran a bad campaign and the DNC got caught at trying to fix a vote. We shouldn't think of doing a 'Clinton' and try and deflect to shift blame. We need to look to perform on the day and do another professional EL job......
