Patrick Roberts was treated like the preverbial wonderkid by the Scottish press and Celtic couldn't afford him at the end of a long loan spell. The fact was that his parent club were never going to use him in their first team and now he can't get a game for Girona in La Liga lay bare his actual level which seems to be fairly comfortable in Scotland but not in more testing conditions. I think Ryan Kent might well be in a similar boat apart from him not getting proportionate attention from the media. - Good for us - Not good enough for Liverpool (no disgrace given at what level they operate) - Too expensive for us to buy him The Gerrard/Liverpool link seems to have concentrated the minds of our loanees from Merseyside and they are contributing much more than the average loan player. This is worth a great deal and we should enjoy it whilst we have it. Games such as this weeks EL tie against Spartak is where Ryan Kent has to really shine if he wants to make Klopp sit up and take some notice.

2010 was when we last played European group stage football. Qualifiers are a half-way house you have to get past first.

We didn't look like scoring until they ventured up the park and left some room in behind. Great finish from Kent to take advantage of the space. We got away with a penalty and a handball in the build-up to our goal so it's almost Livingston level of performance with a different scoreline down to Hamilton not being Livingston and us getting a couple of decisions. This isn't about the pitch, it's more we've simply been poor. ps....and Alfredo....you've been kicked to f88k but don't do anything silly.

DB is angling for a televised ID parade where everyone parades their tadger.

A footballer posting pics of his tadger on social media,..........whatever could go wrong ? Lafferty is one of these footballers with a self-destruct buton. The problem here might be ongoing domestic issues that don't do him any favours for his football. SG and the club can support him but can't tell Mrs Lafferty what to do.

EPL tends to be a difficult league to predict games apart from the likes of Man City v Burnley, in which the bookies aren't giving anything away (saw a price of 1/14 for the home win ). On a sidenote, good to see Newcastle at the bottom. If the likes of Brighton can pick up 3 points from St.James Park then the MASH Machine is in real trouble.
