  1. It is what it is, he'll make some donations to charity and he'll make some cash for himself. Punters can decide if they want to contribute to the pot.
  2. At face value, the 'gamble' that he'll get a regular game would be longer odds in the 2nd tier as opposed to the 3rd. That said, it'll also depend on variants that go beyond the simple 2nd is more difficult than 3rd, eg. form of teammates in the same position. He's not been starting recent league games but the support seem to like him, his workrate and goal threat. He's got to stick-in and make the loan spell work or his career may drift backwards. His attitude is good and that should stand him in good stead.

    Semi Final

Simples,..... fine them for 75% of the amount lost and take it directly from their share of gate money.
  4. Complete with your 'family spokesman' Jack Irvine, otherwise known as *unt.
  5. All in all, a somewhat mysterious, very last minute and unilateral call-off that has the folk at N.I. so peeved that they may risk a 'permanent call-off' to invoke the 5 day rule. Can't really complain, thems the rules. We won't have Lafferty or Morelos for the semi-final and we might end up trialing a new set-up in the second half at Hamilton. Perhaps a plus, perhaps better to keep it a secret.
  6. Problem is our historic footballing tradition of managing to make as little as possible from decent ability. Funnily enough, we are probably the best in the world at it. Re. Wallace: I don't know@Scott7
  7. Never forget how happy I was when on returning from a school trip to Loch Tay that Coop had signed. #Genius
  8. Of all the places for Black to get his cap, Easter Road was never going to be the best reception. When did Wallace get booed ? Bringing it up to date, I'm not aware of McGregor being booed on Sunday.
  9. Individually fine but collectively that equates to hoisting a white flag and signing up for constant sunshine, even when it's pouring rain. 26th does an excellent job on this thread and there isn't an obligation to open it. Nor for compo to tell us all every f**king week about it being better not to listen to PQ output
  10. Albania didn't score a goal in 180 minutes. Middleton is raw talent, didn't get a start for the under 21s and isn't yet ready for the full International squad (although that could change quickly if he begins to start games for us and does well). This whilst GMS is actually in good form, has been showing an end product and his set-up for the Naismith consolation goal on Sunday was eye-catchingly good. McCrorie is pretty much in the same boat as Middleton and Shinnie is rightly ahead of him in the pecking order, although I'd expect that to change during the next 18 months. Bates plays for Hamburg.
  11. Until Grezda does something in his sub appearences that indicate he offers the team something, Middleton should stay ahead of him in the pecking order.
  12. Regards booing our players, I think Ryan Jack gets it because of the amount of sheep in the Tartan Army. If in the future say Ross McCrorie or Glen Middleton get a game, I don't think they'll be booed.
  13. If Rangers continue to move forwards then Scotland will benefit. If the players deserve to be called up, they are more than likely to be called up. McGregor is currently the only one, he did well and wasn't booed.
  14. Eros Grezda pushing for first Rangers start as he reveals talks with Steven Gerrard Eros Grezda is pushing for a first Rangers start this weekend after getting the go-ahead from boss Steven Gerrard to line up for Albania. The £2million signing from Osijek completed a first 90 minutes in six months in his country’s 2-0 Nations League defeat to Israel on Sunday.............. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/eros-grezda-pushing-first-rangers-13422718 ------------------------------- Priority at Hamilton has to be our first 3 points away from home and that probably means Grezda on the bench.
  15. For varying reasons, none of the five Rangers players you list currently deserve to be in front of the Sheep3. Only one of the five (Jack) will probably start in the up-coming semi-final and that depends on him proving his fitness.
  16. Just listened to the Sportsound podcast from yesterday and for some reason Michael Stewart presented the programme instead of the usual Monday evening slot for Kenny Macintryre. If this is a permanent switch for Stewart and as seemed evident yesterday, MS has a say on what is covered and how discussions develop, then you'd be as well renaming the programme to 'Michael Stewart Opines'. Secondly, would be that his very evident efforts to put accross an agenda tend to go against the interests of Rangers, often in a hostile Stalinesque tone. ...Although he didn't manage to get his usual reference to the 'Morelos kick' in an show mostly about International football (did include a few minutes on Gazza/HoF). Thirdly, if you were looking to get your ducks in a row before going after Rangers, he'd probably be your man to host the most listened to evening football show. Lawwell has certainly been attempting to place his men on the boards of the governing bodies in recent times. link to podcast for anyone interested https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/play/p06nylnb
  17. Most HoFs have become an exercise in stretching out the quality/expanding criteria..... so as to maintain a revenue stream. Chasing the pound and diluting the meaning makes it a waste of time for me.
  18. Willie Vass is going to have up his game.................

  21. Scottish football is bereft of leadership, collective competence or any vision beyond the end of their noses. It does have an extraordinary ability to self-harm and hate itself though. The bleak numbers from financial statements limit options and it is pretty much in the place that it deserves to be. Call for another enquiry that they can ignore
  22. They'd have been better keeping Strachan in place if they didn't have somebody who looked as though he could improve on what was left, more or less ready to go. What you are probably going to have now is........... 'Call Off Central', poor results, apathy and a growing campaign to get rid of Eck. The football authorities in Scotland seem to be in a real hurry to win the World Numpties of the Year award in 2018.
  23. Can't agree with the former but do with the latter,.......... but that isn't really the issue at play here anymore. This is now about how and why the nomination was withdrawn.
  24. He was ready for his pipe and slippers, not another high profile job. Don't know if he'd want it but I'd ask Steve Clarke to take over.
  25. Scottish Football Hall of Fame Nomination guideline The committee of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame will consider nominees who meet the following criteria… 1) Players recognised as being Scottish (in compliance with FIFA’s international guidelines on eligibility) once they have retired from the game. 2) Non Scottish players who have made a significant contribution to Scottish football and who have since finished playing in Scotland. 3) Managers recognised as being Scottish who are deemed to have spent a reasonable length of time in their chosen field. 4) Non Scottish managers who have made a significant contribution to Scottish football and who are deemed to have spent a reasonable length of time in their chosen field. 5) Officials recognised as being Scottish who are deemed to have spent a reasonable length of time in their chosen field. 6) Non Scottish officials who have made a significant contribution to Scottish football and who are deemed to have spent a reasonable length of time in their chosen field. The number of individuals inducted may vary from year to year at the discretion of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame committee, but at least one inductee per year should come from the pre 1945 era. These guidelines are subject to review by the committee of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame. http://scottishfootballhalloffame.co.uk/nominations/ It seems to have links with THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION MUSEUM TRUST Company number SC152276 Oficers include Alan McRae and Campbell Ogilvie but doesn't necessarily follow that they'd be on relevant SFHoF committee. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC152276/officers
