The Winter 2018/19 - Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

Article talks about 12K per week. On that supposed figure, SD would be losing well into 7 figures on the next 6 months but would get a further years contract worth over 600K. You wonder if a heavy bonus may be on offer if we were to win the title. Numbers apart, the most important thing is if SD still has it in his legs to be what we want him to be. -

Agreed 6 month loan for Davis would be perfect. An 18 month contract on a lot of money for a 34 year old who hasn't played much recently is another gamble on a player who we know could do it but aren't sure if he's up to what we expect. Some will say that circumstances make the gamble worthwhile, only time would tell. -
They played one LC tie more than us which took the place of the missing League game. They are scheduled to play it in the first available space after winter break (it'll be end of Jan or beginning of Feb).

On the other hand, if Man City win then we may see a momentum shift. Sometimes losing a game can be like the preverbial line about waiting on a bus then two...........

Obviously Russian bots via Vault 7 and some geek fae Boston.

Imagine them when we win something, especially the 55th !!

I think the rawness of Middleton is reflected in his lack of tactical awareness or ability to adhere to a more complete gameplan, his pitch geography and support for the left back. Kent has this in his game and although not evident in terms of assists or goals, has been a fundamantal part of how SG&Co have set-up and had a fair rate of success (especially in Europe). The recent game up in Dundee showed us depending on a rusty Kent to help create in the first half and do nothing in the second half without him. -
Rogic seems to have had issues for a while now and doesn't often play a full 90 minutes. It was in the national interest that he didn't play in the game at Ibrox rather than he be available for the friendly match. They want him fresh for the competitive games. In other words, Sutton is talking out of his erchie and is either thick, looking for attention or both.

If he's available and willing for 2M, great but in todays marketplace, I think Liverpool will be able to get a significantly higher fee. Young, effective and tactically discipined wingers don't grow on trees. For all Ejaria didn't work out, Kent has been a stand-out success and badly missed when injured. -
If you charted performance levels it would make for an interesting graph. The huge spike in performance level for the 29th was as welcome as it was unexpected all things considered (eg.injuries, fatigue, etc) Sun 11/11/18 PRE Rangers 7 - 1 Motherwell View events More info Sat 24/11/18 PRE Rangers 3 - 0 Livingston View events More info Sun 02/12/18 PRE Hearts 1 - 2 Rangers View events More info Wed 05/12/18 PRE Rangers 0 - 1 Aberdeen View events More info Sun 09/12/18 PRE Dundee 1 - 1 Rangers View events More info Sun 16/12/18 PRE Rangers 1 - 0 Hamilton Acade… View events More info Wed 19/12/18 PRE Hibernian 0 - 0 Rangers More info Sun 23/12/18 PRE St. Johnstone 1 - 2 Rangers View events More info Wed 26/12/18 PRE Rangers 1 - 1 Hibernian View events More info Sat 29/12/18 PRE Rangers 1 - 0 Celtic

Would Ryan Kent be within our budget ? Good young player with 3 years left at Liverpool sounds out of our financial reach unless you want to spend most of the transfer kitty on one player. Get him on another loan -
- Watching the clips is entertaining and in a way very satisfying to see us bullying them - PQ are always desperate to make Morelos the centre of this type of analysis - Chances are that the CO will act - We really could do with Morelos available for a tough set of fixtures post winter break - His 'discipline' might well end up costing us again because he sort of 'kicked the erse' out of it !! - Hopefully any ban would include the Cowdenbeath cup-tie and mitigate potential damage - I'd prefer Broon wasn't banned tbh, he has been costing them points this season.

On paper, It's a tough run up until the split but there will be no European distractions, only the Scottish Cup in that we'll have a SC fixture on the second w/e of Feb (due respect to the Blue Brazil ). We'll need to be at our best when the league resumes and we'll know fairly quickly if yesterdays win gives the players more belief and confidence. After the Cup match in Fife, three of our first four SPFL games are away at Kilmarnock, Livingston and Aberdeen. Good to hear. I think he can be an important part of our team. An old school type, hard, determined, with ability and leads by example, Captain material for the future. I'd hope that Greg Docherty has improved with first team football at Shrewsbury and can also come back at some point to feature prominently. Our own young, committed players coming through would lessen the need for so many loans* and we get the potential financial benefit further down the road, if they improve and move on. * Over a season, you are always likely to get more committed effort out of a McCrorie and Docherty than you will from a Coulibaly and Ejaria. -

Too busy celebrating to have thought about it Now that I get in....... 'Correct number of Rangers Goals':..... Get my point added @Rousseau -
'What if's' are worth nothing but there are solid reasons as to why we drop points and more importantly, why they continue to happen too many times for it to be down to X or Y excuse. Bigger picture Things aren't that bad, if you employ realism regards timescales/budgets/starting points, etc.

They are still a lot stronger than we are and wrt the title, it'll nearly always come down to squad depth (and quality). It's not rocket science, we need quality (and more depth) but that tends to cost a lot of money and/or requires time to develop.

This season, I think it's a case of needing Celtic to lose the league (relative implosion) rather than us being able to reach the level of consistency required to win it if they don't implode.
