We have went for quality and experience who are past their best, in the hope that they can show that quality and do a short-term job. They have continued down their usual M.O. and signed players who haven't yet reached 'quality at a decent level or experience' and they hope they will develop over time. For us (Davis and Defoe) it's down to legs and staying fit. For them, it's a big ask to fast forward development and make it work immediately. Transfer window still open.................

I don't know if the tweet about interest in Stewart from us is true but if the League One and League Two interest references have substance, it only helps show at what level he is rated down South. IMO Stewart is a player with some ability who wouldn't handle the weight of our jersey very well.
