  1. Assist for Tav Goal Dessers 🤣
  2. Forget the so-called "narrative". We don't create enough chances and don't have enough goal threat throughout the team. Across the city, they score far more goals but have many different players who score them. League goals (10 games) Rangers: 15 Celtic: 29 Aberdeen: 24 (11 games) The outlier was the 6 goals against Ross County. We push the Dessers 'narrative' in our own message boards.
  3. Best two players this season are both Scottish. Makes you think.
  4. "Should be beating teams like Kilmarnock......." because we have more resources. It has always been thus Kilmarnock and teams like that have always beaten Rangers (and Celtic) of occasion. It has always been thus. Relative mediocrity is what continual flux and short term measures has brought us. We deserve what we have become. It is down to our own strategic errors and incompetence. To have a chance of significantly improving things we need to get on an even financial keel and have competent executive management. It means at the very least, short to medium term pain. Throwing the toys out of the pram because provincial sides beat us a few times won't help.
  5. Thursday night performance and result. Well done to the players and the manager. Another national cup final and a draw in Greece. Give the project /rebuild /downsize some breathing space. If someone deserves pressure it is those upstairs.
  6. Clement will have to start giving Hagi more minutes. Injuries to others is the only way Hagi is going to play. Obviously not in Europe given he isn't in the squad.
  7. Denmark: 7 wins in 8 matches, 87.5% Belgium: 9 wins in 12, 75% Portugal: 45.83%...(24 matches) Netherlands: 34.48%...(29) Germany (inc.West): 31.48% ...(54) France: 25%...(28) Italy: 24%...(25) Spain: 21.43%...(28) England 18.75%...(16)
  8. Of all the 41 countries we have played more than 2 games against in UEFA European competition. Our worst win percentage is against the Greeks, 12.5%. 1 win in 8 matches. 2-0,at home to PAOK. Plus 4 draws and 3 defeats. It was the Swedes at 0%, until we beat Malmö in September. They are now second worst at 14.3% (1 win in 7). England are 3rd, at 18.75%
  9. He was wrong to do so and showed a lack of defensive awareness.
  10. We've spent years moaning about Tav's lack of defensive awareness. Jefte showed an acute lack of defensive awareness in that moment. He's young, he can improve it, if he is well coached.
  11. Don't know, but I don't see what rationale would be used to stop a trade between willing owners/parties in ordinary circumstances. Why do you ask?
  12. We now have a chance to put it right. About six weeks to sort ourselves out, become a functional team and instill some belief in ourselves.
  13. Could be timing his run very well, if City get what they are due, in terms of punishment for the 115 charges. I reckon he'll do relatively well.
  14. Since our conversation on this, I listened to the Clement presser that was released on Saturday. He basically says as much and is having a go at the lack of support from upstairs, in terms of communication of the ongoing financial impediments. Gilligan isn't doing what he said he would, only 6 or 7 weeks ago.
  15. Clement's third consecutive national cup final.
  16. Cerny makes a difference to this team. He provides much needed, moments of quality that can get us over the line. At least in games against middling to poor opposition. Three wheels on our wagon And Phil is still rolling along....
  17. It isn't just physically. Mentally, he has checked out. In Clementspeak, he has left the building and there is a patently, unhappy hologram left in his place. For the good of all parties, he shouldn't be on the pitch. Clement has to be cruel (drop him), to be kind.
  18. Halliday, another Hampden goal 8 years after the first.
  19. World cup '82 West Germany 3 France 3 (WG won on penalties) Including Schumacher's unpunished GBH on Battiston
  20. 1M sterling ain't much until you learn that we made less from the sales of Cantwell, Wright, McCrorie, Goldson, Lammers and 4 loans, including Davis.
  21. I'm not saying it is easy but if the club want to keep the current manager, he needs to communicate that the blame for what is going on is at various levels of the club and put more focus on the harsh reality of our finances. I don't envy him. This has got to a point where Gilligan may be wishing he had declined the offer of interim Chairman.
  22. It isn't about geeing us up. It is about being realistic. Clement is left to try and communicate this message when Gilligan expressly said that he would talk about the numbers/upstairs stuff and let the manager get on with the football. Waiting for the AGM would be fine if the situation was normal, it isn't. Of course, the alternative is that Gilligan comes out and tells us that Clement is gone. Is he hedging his bets ?
  23. John Gilligan needs to show some leadership. Early in the coming week he needs to talk to the support about our financial position. Especially, in relation to how that effects the football department and what are realistic expectation levels. The video the club put out doesn't cut it. Should have been done last week.
  24. 1. Reduce revenue 2. Increase expenditure How attractive is our current situation/ expectation/January transfer window budget black hole to a decent manager? St.Mirren CEO candidate knocked us back. We ain't an attractive proposition at any level, unless you are desperate for a job or get a financial offer that we currently don't have. Maybe sell before we buy. We raised 810,000 in the last window through 5 sales (Lammers, Goldson, Cantwell, Wright and McCrorie) and 4 loans. Player trading at its finest. Other clubs know our situation and take the piss
