  1. Tav has been our best player over a period of time and is hugely important to the team. Given our problems wrt creativity, I don't think it wise to sell Tav just now (unless funny numbers were bid).
  2. I reckon he may get our game up in sheepland. Are extra predictor points available
  3. He is officiating but hasn't had a Rangers game since the Candeias red card. Ironically he has refereed Juventus and PSG games. 4. I make it 21 goals 13 League 4 Domestic Cup 4 European Assist stats for League add 4 Total 25...... plus assists in domestic cup and European games (don't have the numbers) Can remember an assist for Katic (Rangers 1-1 Osijek) but no others come to mind.
  5. Tav is a SPFL player whose main attributes are not defensive. What EPL team that would consider Tav, (ie. middle to bottom league position),... wants a full back who isn't that good a defender ? IMO his attributes are suited to a decent team in the English Championship going for promotion to the EPL. I think max 5M but you might hike up the add-ons if you tie it to promotion to EPL.
  6. Wrt Tav: ............A plan that ain't going to happen is a dream. IMO Morelos is different and big numbers are realistic
  7. We won't get 8M for him, never mind more but no harm in the club inflating the speculative numbers. Thing is, take Tav out of the team and you lose a hell of a lot that would be difficult and probably expensive to replace. On balance and given how much we'd actually get from selling him, I think it better to stick and keep him at Ibrox.
  8. Would be tempted to trial the 3-5-2 but on balance it's probably better to rest some of the lynchpins of such a formation. Would give the same central defence another run-out, no point in rushing Goldson back. McGregor, Tav, Candeias, Arfield, Morelos have a lot of minutes on the clock, opportunity for a night off. Would be interested to see Lafferty and Defoe play together. Foderingham Flanagan - Worrall - Katic - Halliday Davis - Coulibaly - Kent - Middleton Defoe - Lafferty
  9. Nae pansying about today, even with Katie in the team
  10. Very good and non-negotiable 3 points. Every player contributed and that is what you need when visiting Livingston this season. I think SG got it right not to start either Davis or Defoe. They'll get more minutes at Cowdenbeath and against St.Mirren.
  11. Agreed although it would be a dam sight more comfortable all round if we could get a quick second goal because Livingston look well capable of scoring.
  12. Has no-one got him on a Bosman yet ?
  13. HT: Deserve the lead Not vintage football but it's all about application and attitude and we've more tham matched them
  14. Some strike, the lad is doing well from all accounts ! Good additon for next season.
  15. Leak was correct. It'll end up being about attitude, determination and how much the players want it. We'll see............... Livingston have Menga back in the team and have Erskine starting which suggests they have ambitions to win the game on the counter, rather than solely park the bus. Erskine being the only difference to the starting line-up from their 1-0 win over us in the Autumn. We have 4 players starting who didn't start that game. Katic, Jack, McCrorie and Kent
  16. That would represent a significant change in both formation & personnel and the first starting XI leak for quite a while. If correct, I'd welcome the return of McCrorie, Barisic, the Tav/Candeias RHS and some width. However, effective creativity in this type of challenge will depend on how much all of the players want it.
  17. There are and it's about the historic share price at a certain time(period). Others may be able to give the exact terminology.
  18. I doubt very much that Southampton will bid 8M. If they do make a bid, it's more likely to be about half of that. If it were to be around a 4M bid then we'd probably say no. Best we can realistically hope for Tav, all things considered, is probably around 5M.
  19. If having too much time to spend on their chosen subject means a ticket to a room called 'ridicule & ignore' then what would you say about the opinion of the most prolific poster on a Rangers messageboard ? #FreedomofSpeech for AB ....
  20. Things don't always have to be black or white. The way the fixtures fall will tend to favour X against Y, that may even itself out over a season or not but neither does it have to be part of a deliberate plan to favour one against another. with this type of stuff, some seasons your luck is out or in. Many of the factors involved in determining whether they fall in a positive or negative way for team X aren't known when the fixture list is compiled.........eg. Today is Livingston (A).....back in June that would probably have been considered as one of the easiest away fixtures in the top flight. Bottomline It's up to us to win games of football, the rest is noise.
  21. It'll be interesting to see what SG&Co do in terms changes, formation and/or players. IMO, SG came accross as somewhat deflated in the press conference yesterday.
  22. With that general point in mind, I'd cite Glen Kamara as someone to watch. Why ? Because he has shown himself to be brave wrt to taking possession in tight areas and relatively good at retaining that possession and moving the ball on. Can he do the same at Rangers with the added pressure that comes with the shirt ?
  23. The potential problem is some players have 'the fear' and effectively hide from the ball. The analysis on the other thread from the Kilmarnock game shows Jack doing this.
  24. Manager v Player impass = Sooner (hopefully) or Later (eg.Mourinho).....Manager gets the push Manner of this should ensure he doesn't emerge back in the Celtic job one day, so hopefully he'll not be back in the Scottish game for a while. Probably have to suffer his punditry though #PQ+BT
