  1. Could that be the US looking to bring freedom and democracy to Leeds ?
  2. Stewart Downing being speculated upon by some of the press, hopefully just BS. Neatly fits the profile of who not to go after. We ain't in April yet but is ze German Bear zinking about opening ze summer tranzfer thread yet ?
  3. Only national anthem I actually enjoy listening to is the French. Waltzing Matilda (Tom Waits version) is another but it's only the unofficial Australian NA.
  4. At this particular point in time, I'd say there is significantly more pressure on Rangers players than those at Chelsea when related to expectation/timescales. Required ability levels are something else and obviously you have to be a much better player to get into the Chelsea first team than Rangers.
  5. Andy Robertson is one and you can actually use him as an example of a player who triumphed only after getting ditched by Celtic. If you are good enough, with the right attitude and work ethic............ the opportunity is there.
  6. We'll get some context regards the result of Thursday when Russia play away to the Kazaks this afternoon. The bookies seem to be pitching the most probable scoreline in the Scotland game is a 0-4 away win. I reckon this is more or less where the general expectation lys. Anything more will be seen as a positive and anything less, a negative. I reckon 0-2 or 0-3 If Robertson and Fraser play then that is a major improvement on the line-up in Kazakhstan.
  7. Some see through lies better than others #gumption Bluedell/Daily Mail said that Scholes had concerns regards to possible interference in team matters prior to taking the job. In other words, there were sufficient reason that he wasn't sure he could trust the people involved. Ultimately he made a bad judgement call and has to take responsibility for that, ...It’s really that simple, Only a gullible fool goes through life believing everything he is told.
  8. TBF there is a huge amount of pressure on managers at Ibrox and it really needs exceptional ability and mental strength for a young man to break through and establish himself with Rangers. You think back to Barry Ferguson and the era he came through in and you have to take your hat off to the guy. I sometimes think we're going to end up having to go further backwards to eventually build a solid base to take us forward. The emphasis and work going into the youth set-up is encouraging and reflects well on those in charge of strategy but as you say we need to see it develop into the first team and that is for later.
  9. I thought the parent club paid loan players and then had a seperate agreement/contract with the club taking the player on loan. ??
  10. What she called a disease was a cult around British Nationalism that can be found at Ibrox on matchdays. I'd call it dehumanising and very offensive language aimed at a section of the Rangers support. She and the BBC would call it a strong opinion (amongst others) and get away with it. This type of language is often employed in the second half of gradual campaigns (drip, drip....) that seeks to marginalise an individual, group or people and basically prepare the ground for actions, legislation or other that would previously not have been seen as reasonable or allowed to happen. It seemed a manufactured account from the moment she said that she had to get away from Ibrox whenever there is a game on. Does she live close to Ibrox, does she habitually walk her dug down Edmiston Drive at 3pm, was she talking contrived Colin Nish ?
  11. By far, the player I most looked forward to seeing play when attending games in the 70's #Class
  12. Would be throwing money away and giving the usual suspects another platform to spout off about a Willie Waddell interview from the early 1970's. More something to put on the long list wrt PQ and it's editorially fair policy (building a body of evidence).
  13. Blackmail ? IIRC the programme (broad conversation) included Unionist Rangers supporters who put forward a different point of view. ie. PQ can say that there was a balance of opinions sought. However, what was without doubt, is that as with the great majority of these types of programmes, it was carefully arranged wrt running order and the presenter (Nicky Campbell and earpiece) who had a dog in the race, was central to this.
  14. Well done to the lad. He's young enough to have a chance of making it with us but he's still got the difficult part to come.
  15. Given previous with Ryan Jack, did anyone ask Steve Clarke if he instructs or approves of Broadfoot doing this at Ibrox ? Try and get the biggest danger to Kilmarnock sent off the pitch (Morelos 9 goals v Killie this season). Had it been the other way around,... what do we think the reaction would have been ?
  16. Five Bob would win you a tenner !
  17. No, this is simply low quality and dubious clickbait coming from a low quality brand and a presenter on the way down after a relatively decent career. To consume and take it at all seriously is feeding the beast and encouraging them to come back with more of the same. Meanwhile, what is happening at BBC Scotland is worthy of our attention, in part for the reasons you mention.
  18. Those who consume it should turn it off or it's more them who should be thinking of who is tying their boot-laces.

  20. The coach is definitely part of the current issue. The issues you raise are part of it as well but haven't stopped us doing a lot better in the past. What was very apparent on Thursday was how we were unable to change things at HT, more especially the simple thing of at least coming out with a vastly improved attitude and desire to get back in the game. A lack of ability is one thing but a passive attitude showed something in the coaching/communications dynamic is way wrong. Eck is in the wrong movie.........He should be sat down in his slippers watching it, not a part of it. To put it bluntly, he's past it and the worst thing is that is probably how some of the players see it.
  21. Talksport = The Sunday Sport of Radio
  22. #DueDiligence #Gumption It won't work 100% of the time but it'll help with prevention. Not exactly the same thing but a reasonable parallel,......... some used their napper and could see though Craig Whyte and Charles Green, too many couldn't and probably wouldn't get what I mean.
  23. Colombia beat Japan 0-1 with a second half Falcao penalty (64 mins) and win the Kirin Cup. Alfredo got his 2nd cap as an 87th minute sub (didn't see it so can't say how he got on). Hopefully get a little longer against Korea.
  24. Morelos is on the bench for this mornings game. Was always more likely to get minutes in the second game against Korea (N o S ?)
