    The A to Z

    S is for Struth,...Bill Struth
  2. It certainly helps the podcast. Derek Parlane is a very good interviewee (heard one a good few years back now).
  3. Like Big Jaws, looking forward to the YD feature. As for Parlane, he was the 'King of Ibrox Park' when I was a lad !.... ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
  4. Yes, you both settled down quickly #Fluid What happened to the youth development ?...Under 18s go to extra time / 19th hole ???
  5. Was excellent for a first go Andy Little added insight and real value. Chris Jack sounded more nervous than you at the beginning !!

    The A to Z

G has to be for Greig, John Greig
  7. Will be interesting to see how Man City react to the elimination. You also have to question how Spurs will react after such a great result. 11/1 is generous to the point of a cheeky fiver without question but tbh I don't think they'll win. or perhaps a 7/1 Spurs win (Draw No Bet)
  8. It will push Strict Liability down the Sportsound running order unless of course, we are involved.
  9. Just say we have or did have an interest in Shinnie, you'd have arguably the two best midfielders to come out of the UK in the past three decades (Gerrard & Lampard) after him
  10. Proper Top Proper Boots Proper Baw Proper Player
  11. That had slipped my mind. One of the reasons it looks so good is that it doesn't have a sponsers name on it.
  12. Will save it for later in the day, thanks !!
  13. I'll raise you a thumbs up to the Home and red Away kit. Lose the wishywashy sky bluish in the black top and replace it with white and I'll even go with the black.
  14. Speaking for myself, it's not so much where it comes from but the quantums involved and how that effects competition.
  15. He is ambitious and wants to capitalise on the upturn in the clubs fortunes by growing the home support and the reduction from 8K to 4K is within the SPFL rules. Kilmarnock do historically have a decent crowd base that he's trying to attract back, whether they or the new generations buy ST's we'll soon see. The last couple of seasons have seen a relatively significant upturn in their home support and if you are ambitious then you have to move things whilst the relative good times roll. The obvious problem arises further down the line when the good times stop but what is Bowie going to do parallel to this to try and make them last ? It's their prerogative and it's their financial risk. IMO the club(s) shouldn't threaten to not take any tickets in the future. Leave it up to the paying customers whether they want to buy them, surely it's their shout.
  16. VAR appears to be an expensive interruption to play that doesn't always provide what it says on the tin.
  17. Anyone else have a nibble back then ? They are now 9/2 Barcelona 6/4 Liverpool 5/2 Ajax & Spurs 9/2
  18. Very refreshing to see it. We're seeing Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and now Juventus all losing their edge. It only needs Messi to retire and Barcelona will be the same. Hopefully have some different winners for a couple of years.
  19. That'll be 4 days this week and a hefty expense bill for whoever gets it. ROLLS BUILDING COURT 28 Before LIONEL PERSEY QC sitting as a Judge of the High Court Thursday 18 April 2019 At 10:30 AM (All Day) Part Heard Commercial Trial CL-2018-000631 SDI Retail Services Limited v. The Rangers Football Club Limited
  20. The talks with the GB obviously didn't work so wouldn't the PLC need to NOW take action such as closure of part of ground they inhabit,...if they want to be seen as doing all they could. Otherwise, such a pre-match meeting becomes nothing more than an empty tick in a box.
  21. Zidane was a variation on the Del Bosque type of appointment at Real Madrid, possibly the most complicated political egosphere in the galaxy. Del Bosque gave the likes of Hierro and Raul space to have their substantial say and generally didn't rock the boat. The logic being that if you have the better players and you keep them sweet, you'll do well. He did so much better than many who tried to lay down their own law, even if they may have been better tacticans or whatever. Zidane commands respect for what he has done in the game but I think he was smart enough to also follow some of Del Bosque's previous habits. Man. Utd could conceivably stay in City's shadow for a fair old time. Some of the issues facing United are not disimilar to the general situation in front of us. Difficult job for whoever takes it on.
  22. Agree with most of that but not that Zidane would sort it. Perhaps there is a bit of natural order in it,... so many years of plenty were always likely to be followed by a fair bit of famine.
  23. The prospective Shinnie to Derby pre-contract has stalled due to the club operating under a “soft transfer embargo” while the English Football League (EFL) look into the club’s financial dealings . Just Saying One curious aspect to Derbys interest is that you'd think Frank Lampard would know a midfielder when he sees one and you'd imagine he has given the okay for this deal.
  24. It's been apparent that they need to change things beyond the football operation for a number of years now #Woodward To put it bluntly, they repeatedly make a horses arse of appointing the first team manager and their recruitment has been all over the place as well. Thing is, what happened with Moyes, LVG and Mourinho was predictable. They hired Moyes because SAF told them to but they weren't convinced, didn't really back him and got rid as soon as they could. All you had to look was into LVG's history to see that his confrontational nature/style would come unstuck in England. At Real Madrid and Chelsea, Mourinho had already showed the direction his management had taken and surprise, surprise.... he did it again.
  25. They appear to be prioritizing their own fans wishes/experience with the hope that they can can continue the recent growth in attendance which will offset the loss in away tickets sold when the OF visit. TBF, you could compare it with us telling Celtic that they only get the corner. The main difference being that financially that wasn't really a risk and hence our board weren't going for a policy change that cut into revenue. If Kilmarnock were to grow their average by a further 1,000, it would make up lost revenue from OF games. Thing is, when results do tail off, so will their fans, as sure as night follows day.
