  1. Looked like it was going to be a repeat of other Hibs games when the ball came accross to Kamberi but he mishit it and McGregor managed a great save. I'm forgetting all the negtive waves today and will concentrate on the win. 5 consecutive Top Tier League Wins
  2. Always looking on the brightside ya miserable bastard
  3. Decent at times, occasional threat but not many real chances. Got the goal at a good time. Defoe hadn't been convincing with his shots but he kept going back to the right areas. Hibs showing very little. They'll have to come out a bit. A lot of fruitless long balls from both teams. Next goal important.
  4. They've got a dangerous looking counter-attack although it's difficult to know what Gauld will offer. He can play a bit but I don't think he's played first team football for quite a while. Horgan is their go to guy at present. I'd like to see Katic give McNulty a dull one early doors...Get it in before he gets you.
  5. No surprises with our XI. Hibs provide one, the inclusion of Ryan Gauld to start in place of Kamberi ! Barasic on the bench may mean he's getting another opportunity. I hope so because if we get him to perform, we've got a quality player.
  6. That we already know. It's a matter of will PQ give O'Heck a call or not.
  7. Their programme is scheduled to go on to 6pm (UKtime) today, which would give them the time for a word with Paul Heckingbottom, if they wanted and the manager was willing. Sportsound FM goes until 1700 MW takes over from 1700 to 1800 O'Heck provided PQ with a controversial soundbite about the officials last week, so either way (Hibs win or defeat), I'm sure they'll try.
  8. Perhaps Mubarak is the nasty type of defender required in Scotland. His record of extended service is there, albeit he's veteran++.
  9. Agreed, if we can win today, it takes us to 5 top tier league wins IAR, something we haven't done since 2011. If we then could beat Celtic, it further extends that run but more importantly going forward, it would help our mindset in the head to head battle against them. Another thing is that we need to convince ourselves we have the beating of these teams. Prior to last week, we had won a miserable 2 from 12 in matches against Aberdeen, Hibs & Celtic.......and the last thing is on tha back of that the management team need the encouragement of having at last found a way to win these games, even if too late. They need to be seen to have learnt the lesson, adapted in such a way that can work in the bigger games.
  10. Go back a bit further and you get John MacDonald and then a real star, Derek Johnstone. That is if they meet the criteria. I know Johnstone came through as a youth in Dundee but we did get him as a schoolboy.
  11. Off the top of my head,...Roberto Fleck ???
  12. Good shot accross the keeper followed by Gerd Muller like finish !! I'm guessing it'll be another loan for Zak next season. I wonder if he's considered good enough to be able to hold down a place at a top tier team as yet. A loan isn't much use unless you are playing regularly, so given his age, he may go back to the Scottish Championship or even 3rd tier in England. Zak played 2616 league minutes over 31 games, scored 12 goals and was booked 7 times. He also scored 1 against Falkirk in the Challenge Cup for our U21s in August and four goals for Scotland U19s, including a hat-trick versus Cyprus. At 19 years of age, he has a chance if he can keep improving his game, year on year. I don't think Ryan Hardie has done or shown enough to have a realistic chance at Ibrox. He's 22 and couldn't hold down his place at Livingston. He was ok, scored a few goals but IMO, that ain't good enough to merit a place in our first team squad. I reckon if Zak want's to make it, he has to reach and surpass the level of RH by the time he is 20.
  13. I went to suffer another game against Hibs after the 3 Cup games. A league game that was left over at Easter Road. Surreal atmosphere with hardly anybody there ! Can't remember the score, only Ally Brazil coming in for lots of stick as we and he could hear each shout clearly, in a near empty ground.
  14. With powers like that on offer, it'd be remiss of me not to give your details to Mark Allen. Expect a PM
  15. Bournemouth 1 Spurs 0 Cash out offer is a miserable 3.07, .... I'll be wanting Newcastle to win a football match which hasn't been the case for many a year !
  16. Their nickname, The Magpies is I think the same as Newcastle Utd. Quite fitting that the club that has Mr.MASH as owner has such a nickname #RobbingBastard
  17. Bombastic but empty verbals don't send you to the canvas although I too will be very surprised if the 39/1 shot comes in ! For the sake of accuracy, it was a Euro and not a quid.
  18. Wacky quid on a double... Newcastle to beat Liverpool Bournemouth to beat Spurs 39/1
  19. I note that Mexer will be 31 years of age in September. I'm usually a bit of a transfer gossip ageist critic but I'm not that bothered when it comes to central defence, aslong as they don't have significant injury history and obviously can play a bit.
  20. A wee bit down from the EPL but today is the last day of the regular EFL season in the bottom two tiers (play offs to come). Notable for pending exits to non league obscurity. - The worst home top in English football is sure to make the drop, Yeovil. - The oldest professional association football club in the world, Notts County (founded in 1862) look likely to go as well. Apparently Juventus based their colours on the original magpies.
  21. Forgot to mention that McNulty is another who frequently leaves his foot in.
  22. Did Messi copy the Kai Kennedy free-kick method ? The reserve Souttar and Berra central defence looked truly awful at the first two goals.
  23. That particular case against Katic was more based on an automatic media/punditry induced response on the back of us getting a decent win whilst on a good run. It had no base in reality, if someone stands on your foot when you are moving, you fall down and if someone puts is arm/elbow in your face, not once but twice, even in TV slow motion, you tend to fall down. Rangers can't be allowed to win without a BUT.... Even Claire Whyte knew she'd be onto plums if she went for this one. There was a recent Scott Brown dive that was as blatant as anything I've ever seen, it was so bad it looked like footage of some comedy sketch but it didn't manage to survive the editorial cut for Sportsound. I don't know the rules regards a C.O. citacion in this type of inciident but it wasn't sanctioned in the game.
  24. It'll be Craig Thomson for the OF match.
  25. If you have a minute......a wee edit for that post, text just prior to graphic of our results, insert...in the top tier, ...by registering a 5th successive league win in the top tier, for the first time since 2011.
