podcast thread (image) GN Pod - Last episode of season 2018/19 now available
buster. replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I was listening to the H&H podcast and for the first time with a Rangers related pod, I turned it off about 20 minutes in. Reason was that an essentially meaningless end of season is I think, very difficult to generate into a vibrant and interesting show. Once the whistle blew for FT, it was close season. I had listened to the full Gersnet live pod (the day after) and that was enough. The takeaway regards to feedback is that going to a Live format (and ready to listen to next morning) is the way to go, rather than publishing on Tuesday morning when many have had their fill. The thing about the Live version that surprises is that there are so few mistakes/silences etc.....Well done ! -
First and foremost it's about Dorrans staying fit, getting match fit and avoiding injuries/ seeing how knee holds up. Those are significant hurdles and unfortunately, I can't see him playing a regular part or getting back to full match sharpness.

Perhaps best not to and file it under 'no longer of any interest' -
Thought this was transfer gossip for a second....

Comes down to how clubs see it and perceived potential has become an increasingly important factor in driving up prices allied to the extent of demand. If he's highly thought of at Championship level, we're behind the eight ball, unless factors other than money come into play. -

If TM says 50K then I guess that clinches it -
The Brand is very high on the list of Pot One club priorities these days and is related to revenue via corporate business.

That is already encompassed within the correct score prediction (3 pts) -
We can go on about that angle on a messageboard. SG has to deal with the reality of the situation, regardless. ---------------- I reckon we'll probably end up keeping him for next season due to not getting offered anywhere near to our valuation. However we might end-up with Alfredo and/or his agent trying to agitate for the club to do business and let him move on. In those hypothetical circumstances, it's predictable what happens with an unhappy Morelos on the field. IMO any bid in eight figures should be accepted, the sooner the better. If he scores 40 goals and we get the 55th, feel free to bump this
-
Tav by a distance Best signing we have made in years For what they have actually done, IMO he's worth more than Morelos................but it's Alfredo's potential that increases his value.

Clarke is a good fit for the Scotland job. Easily the best viable candidate. The team still lacks decent centre forward options.
-
I reckon Arsenal will win it but (ChelseaBoy) you can probably take that as a positive. It would mean at least 5 English sides in the CL group stages next season. It took a club side from London a longtime to win the CL (they never won a European Cup). Next season they may have three teams in the competition whilst other nations don't get any.

Wiki has Pele at 643 'official goals' at Santos but that increases to 1033 if you include 'friendlies' Other sources speak of 1284. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelé http://www.rsssf.com/players/prolific.html#pele @26th of foot

We are talking about the English market. If the lad is any good there will be a wider demand and he'll go for more than 0.5K. -

Got to laugh at Scott's one-off 7 point springtime appearance then leave us mere mortals to get on with it I'd suggest a handicap of -5 points for you Rousseau, given that your sterling work probably makes you the only ever present... Seriously, if it's not broke, better not to tinker with it much. Given it's a predictor, it's probably fitting that a winner is top of the correct scores and the 3 extra points are about right. I like the FGS feature and 2 points on offer helps fuel hopes of comebacks. -

Article is from April Anyone know if we have we extended McPakes deal as yet ? I thought he should have been at Kilmarnock yesterday (playing instead of Arfield) rather than Hong Kong. -
Can't disagree with most of that. It'll be interesting to see how we go wrt formation when we integrate new players. Hopefully we'll have players that'll allow us to adapt to situations as they develop.

It makes for an interesting debate. The important opinion is that of the manager and he would seem to be making a big push in trying to get him back to Ibrox for next season. I think you make very valid points that are somewhat tied into what was continually playing a system that had an obvious flaw but one that our squad was ill equiped to deal with. You don't seem to put a value on Kent's game/ tactical awareness and willingness to work hard to comply with his requested role. The latter is what let's Middleton down at this stage in his career. IMO I'd rather scarce resources (anything above 3M) were invested elsewhere given the amount of decent cover we have for the wide roles. Get him on another loan....yes please !
