2017 agreement/contract was announced as the beginning of the end but it has proved to be just another bundle of words that the lawyers are making money out of. Thus far, SDI seem to be well on top. Current impasse that shows no sign of solution favours SDI/Ashley MO and will cost us money. Trying to bridge a financial divide is difficult enough when all revenue streams are well below that of your main rival.

That's because ALL the pundits on it were Celtic fans Pat Bonnar Jim Duffy James McFadden Presented by David Currie (?) ------------------- What is and has been happening for a while now is that Celtic get the lions share of attention and the rest are allocated time according to wee provincial club status,...unless of course there is something negative to focus upon and then the spotlight gets shone towards Ibrox. The disparity is partly down to a lack of direct communication between the club and PQ (eg. post match interview with manager) but it I'd estimate that explains only around 20-25% of the difference.

Unless someone is going out, I can't see the need for Lowe on a seasons loan. -
If you could pick the winners of all five of what are considered the biggest and best Leagues in Europe, what kind of odds do you think you'd get ? The list below currently comes in at a miserly 5.23/1 Man City (4/6) PSG (1/7) Bayern Munich (1/4) Juventus (4/7) Barcelona (4/6) That is five ODDS-ON favourites before a ball is kicked. A sign of the times in society, where the distribution of wealth is ever more skewed towards the top.

At the end of the day, players are only worth what other clubs are prepared to pay. On another note, good to see Josh McPake on the plane to Portugal. -

We'll start our League camapign against a team with a longtime No.2 taking on the main role, albeit at a much smaller club. Let's hope the Italian has a very bad start. I think the difficulty we had in putting together a decent and interested short list post Caixinha, makes GaryMac more likely to be at least considered if he were to show any interest, within the scenario I painted earlier in the thread. You look at the other side of the City and despite recent success, bank balances and all the rhetoric, they certainly appeared to struggle regards attracting a decent manager.

Sounds like a Management consultancy of sorts..... (reminds me of Del Bosque at Madrid before he got the main gig for a prolonged spell) Why do you think that would that make him so unsuitable ? He has coached before but regardless, we are speculating about a management position.
-
What does Gary Mac actually do then ?
-
Of course Gary Mac is there to assist SG, just as Walter Smith was there to assist Souness. I don't think you can be so absolutely certain in football. If the DoF has such a list, I'd expect Gary Mac to be on it. The scenario I could see Gary Mac being seriously considered is along the following lines ......... we win title this coming season mid table EPL club come in for SG and he goes GMac seen as best person to carry on the good work GMac has choice between No.2 with SG or No.1 at Ibrox Obviously it's only pretty wild speculation and not to be taken too seriously.
-
If SG was to one day get an offer he couldn't refuse, does Gary Mac take over managerial duties ? I reckon that's what the club would consider as first option.

Very difficult to say much about Edmundson at this stage. For me, I'm glad that he's our player and not on loan, like Worrall. IMO we are still behind them in terms of squad depth/quality and still have work to do this transfer window. -

Agreed, we really need to take advantage of Home advantage in the first OF fixture. If seeding goes to plan, we won't have an EL QR4 match to play....(Lot's of If's and but's !) Last year we started very well in Europe but run out of gas during August, not only at Parkhead but conceding last minute equalizers at Aberdeen and Motherwell on the back of Thursday night EL games. Translated: No answer because you haven't got one that would make sense. Bombastic logic is all very well but when it can be blown away in a sentence or two, it's shown up for what it is. -

Take away football supporters and their perception of an identity (that fuels loyalty) and you have no football, at least as we know it. You say you can merge teams into a UK XI and that it would be hysterical nonsense to protest about losing identity because it's only football. How would you see a merger between Rangers and Celtic football teams ? -

IMO if we really want to challenge, we have to win the first three going into the OF match. We can't let the same old pattern of falling behind them straight away. We need to edge ahead and exert pressure on them and their manager.
