  1. I reckon Arsenal will win it but (ChelseaBoy) you can probably take that as a positive. It would mean at least 5 English sides in the CL group stages next season. It took a club side from London a longtime to win the CL (they never won a European Cup). Next season they may have three teams in the competition whilst other nations don't get any.
  2. Wiki has Pele at 643 'official goals' at Santos but that increases to 1033 if you include 'friendlies' Other sources speak of 1284. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelé http://www.rsssf.com/players/prolific.html#pele @26th of foot
  3. We are talking about the English market. If the lad is any good there will be a wider demand and he'll go for more than 0.5K.
  4. Got to laugh at Scott's one-off 7 point springtime appearance then leave us mere mortals to get on with it I'd suggest a handicap of -5 points for you Rousseau, given that your sterling work probably makes you the only ever present... Seriously, if it's not broke, better not to tinker with it much. Given it's a predictor, it's probably fitting that a winner is top of the correct scores and the 3 extra points are about right. I like the FGS feature and 2 points on offer helps fuel hopes of comebacks.
  5. If Jamie Murphy returns in decent shape could he take the place from Kent ?
  6. Article is from April Anyone know if we have we extended McPakes deal as yet ? I thought he should have been at Kilmarnock yesterday (playing instead of Arfield) rather than Hong Kong.
  7. Can't disagree with most of that. It'll be interesting to see how we go wrt formation when we integrate new players. Hopefully we'll have players that'll allow us to adapt to situations as they develop.
  8. It makes for an interesting debate. The important opinion is that of the manager and he would seem to be making a big push in trying to get him back to Ibrox for next season. I think you make very valid points that are somewhat tied into what was continually playing a system that had an obvious flaw but one that our squad was ill equiped to deal with. You don't seem to put a value on Kent's game/ tactical awareness and willingness to work hard to comply with his requested role. The latter is what let's Middleton down at this stage in his career. IMO I'd rather scarce resources (anything above 3M) were invested elsewhere given the amount of decent cover we have for the wide roles. Get him on another loan....yes please !
  9. Loving that pic
  10. I'd have wanted all three decisions if attacking. Goldson gets a wee shove but it's enough, penalty Barasic grabs shirt, penalty Burke handles, reflex movement but deliberately, penalty
  11. 150th celebrations recuperate and grow home support (IIRC partly down to listening to their supporters re. experience of home games against the OF) I heard different motives being pushed so yes, it came out in a confusing manner, almost as if they were making it up as they went along. I tend to think that it was more they added fuel to the fire, but fuel that already existed and part of the actual decision, if not part of the public statement. I don't buy the bitterness angle driven by Clarke. It was more the relative success / feel good factor that Clarke had brought to the club. Bowie is obviously a savvy individual and with his board, made the decision. It worked yesterday, the real test for Kilmarnock will be moving forward and the success or otherwise of the next managerial appointment.
  12. Trying to pick holes in their decison around ticket allocation doesn't really wash. As far as they were concerned, yesterday, it was the correct decision and it worked a treat. Let them enjoy their day in the sun, we have bigger fish to fry.........
  13. My numbers were only fag packet level research. What Bowie has achieved to date is remarkable and I'd be hesitant to dismiss his plans/ambitions. That said, there is a glass cieling and having come top of the Provincial League (3rd), some would say the only way is down. What he's probably looking for is to maintain/increase upturn in attendance, remain a top six club with some decent Cup runs. Rabbit out of hat required re. new manager. I'd note that the return of the Provincial title award signifies an important step forward for us on the way back.
  14. Conundrum Wanted Hamiltons plastic pitch relegated but no fan of St.Mirren. The league would be better off with Dundee Utd. Back in the 80's when based up in Arbroath, a few of us went to their European games if work allowed and I like the tangerine colour (better tone than our current away top). Call it an old soft spot that withered. If Thompson was still there, I'd say St.Mirren but IIRC he's gone. Besides, for me the best way to get it up them is always to beat them on the pitch.
  15. Better for victims to keep the media narrative on the victims and their demands/requests for Celtic FC to take due responsibility.
  16. Footnote on the Kilmarnock crowd and ticket allocation. They turned up and provided an atmosphere for the home club. Correct decision on their part. Looking ahead, they'll be hoping some of the new attenders or returning old fans buy an ST for next season. An increase of about 1,000 ST's / attendees per home game would offset loss of revenue (OF fans,: 4K x 4 games). If Clarke was staying, I don't think they'd have a problem getting the numbers, reasonable results and atmosphere. However, it seems as he's not, so it's an ambitious move and a bit of a gamble, although they could always go back to the old ticket allocations. Credit where credit is due, Billy Bowie has done some job as owner since he came in.
  17. Thank's WB ! I thought there had been early moves made by the lawyer representing the victims but if not then I understand what you are saying.
  18. Eurovision He has a total of 602 competitive goals for one club ----------------- Btw those totals are club goals only.
  19. Correct Number of goals scored by Messi in each of the last eleven seasons. 38 being 11 years ago and 50 his current total (one game to play)
  20. Like the thought process but,..... No ! Clue of sorts It's not Rangers related
  21. No (comment)
  22. But he did make the best save of the season for Rangers at the same ground in August. That's probably enough to get it today !
  23. Naw and forgot to say to all, NO google searches allowed.
  24. Last week was real deal, today was plastic but I'm consoled because if we had needed to win that today, I'm fairly sure we would have.
