  1. Club's will look at our situation and try and take advantage whilst we will be looking to get as good a deal as possible. A lot of the time, the difference will be too big to find an immediate compromise and things won't start really moving until needs must or transfer window approaches it's end. It reflects badly on our player trading/contract management business in the last few seasons. This has to improve (or rather we need to improve players and add value) or we will always be playing catch-up.
  2. preseasonclickbait@meaningless.com Bring on the Kilmarnock game..........
  3. I think the important issue about the abundance of options will be how they are managed and used. It's about the management team selecting the right formations and players to suit particular games.
  4. A club has to climb a high wall to get to the EPL, individuals can get in via a phone call. Bruce has been around a while and you wonder at this apparent choice, an Ashley run Newcastle. Managers come and go so quickly, perhaps it's simply about a bigger contract and potential bigger pay-off when it comes. What about the takeover ? Is it just another in a long line of deals that never were as Mr.MASH continues to slowly suffocate the life out of the club.
  5. Victim's lawyers/campaigners should be targeting any potential big paydays for the club. Tierney transfer CL group qualification Also the AGM Brother Walfrid would be burling in his grave Thing is, the PLC still go on about charitable roots etc. Highlight the Hypocrisy
  6. July 12th last year saw SG manage his first competitive match against Shkupi with 49,309 in attendance. The game against St.Josephs is competitive but the tie is already done and there isn't the spice of SG's first game in charge. However, there is a current feel-good factor and the side are scoring goals. I'll go for 39, 862

  8. Nor Gambini !! #GersnetPodcastTransferUpdate
  9. Katic and Goldson are striving to become the new Hately and McCoist by the way they have started the season !
  10. There are a lot of European qualifiers being played this week in both competitions. As it stands bet365 makes Rangers THE shortest priced team of them all to win their match at 1/33.
  11. You are right but IMO the team needs a settled central defence when possible. It's not an area that should be tinkered with too much, unlike say the midfield combinations.
  12. May well have been "back-three" ! Edmundson may be considered if better with the ball at his feet.
  13. Interesting to hear SG mention the 3-5-2 yesterday. Very difficult to come up with a line-up given the number of options in the middle. McGregor Katic - Goldson - Helander Tav - Davis - Kamara - Barasic Arfield Defoe - New
  14. Bit of a pre-season feel to the podcast there Good to have them back though and thank's to all involved !
  15. I think that unfair on Durrant. "...the bleedin' obvious..." is a big part of football and no pundit that I have ever known restricts themselves to genuine insight. You can also say that the "...the bleedin' obvious..." is somewhat relative and those watching and listening will be at different stages in their fitbaw education. I agree with Gaffer regards Durrant offering more insight than the average RTV pundit.
  16. Very encouraging so far. Lots of goals...5, 4, 4 None conceded....0, 0, 0 Good football & entertainment No less than six against St.Joesph's though... The above will add thousands onto crowd for Thursday.
  17. I see St.Mirren are 0-3 down at HT to Dunfermline. Good start Jim edit Finished 2-3 Have a look at the other teams in their group of life Albion Rovers, East kilbride and Edinburgh City
  18. How to solve SG headache ? Sell Candeias to Marseille for 25M plus Payet
  19. After seeing him in Gib, I have a feeling in ma water that Jones will do well with us. I'd prefer us not to go for Kent and dedicate funds towards a central forward option.
  20. Barasic, Aribo and Jones on the left hand side (even if not all on the touchline) will be interesting.
