My Spurs-supporting colleague thought he might have come to us on loan last summer. Was certainly being talked about. Very highly rated though breaking into the first team will be tricky as there'sa lot of good and quite young players ahead of him.

Rumour mill: Hibs star wants switch to Ibrox
Oleg_Mcnoleg replied to Bearman's topic in Rangers Chat
I was chatting with some Hibs fans on the train back to Edinburgh after we beat them over Christmas and they didn't rate him that highly. Decent finisher, they said, but criticised his all-round game. Going on his performances against us, I'd have him in a heartbeat (alleged attitude issues notwithstanding). He's been an irritating wee git whenever we've played them and taken his chances well. But what do I know? Ian Black used to play well against us and look where that got us. -
[FT] Falkirk 3 - 2 Rangers (Miller 7; McKay 9)

I'm guessing he wanted to rest them and the players he brought on have been decent of late. But it clearly didn't work. That said, it wasn't the subs that gave the ball away on the edge of the area or stood watching as their player tapped in an injury time winner. You'd get pelters for that sort of defending in a game of pub football. It was like they'd been getting pissed at half time -

Quite. Don't think either would have gone down. -
Have Commons or Brown got better since we've been away? I can remember Brown playing well in maybe two OF games over the years. In the others, he's tried to cover up his shortcomings by kicking people. To be fair, judging by that article, it seems to have worked. I suppose he might try this time and it might work, but he'll have to catch our midfielders.

That cnut supper is as snidey off the pitch as he is on it. Nasty little article

Mike Ashley threatened with contempt of parliament
Oleg_Mcnoleg replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Wishful thinking, I fear. It would be contempt of the House, for which there are a range of theoretical penalties--fined, imprisoned in Victoria Tower, summoned to the the bar of the House of Lords to be reprimanded--none of which are practical or enforceable. The Maxwell brothers tried to refuse to come until their lawyer convinced them they ought to. However, they just refused to answer any questions. The main penalty is public discrediting. Fatso basically has to weigh up whether turning up and being hauled over the coals by the committee is worse than the public furore generated by his refusal to show up. The committee can write what they like about him without risk of libel so they'll rip into him regardless and he has to work out whether it's better to state his case. Ultimately they can't really do anything except humiliate him, sadly. -
He's done an interview to tell everyone he's not mad. And comes across mad. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3466475/Billy-Davies-whispering-campaign-against-reason-m-not-job.html

Of course but that's the same with any club. A couple of the current bunch look like they might have it thiiugh. At least these loans feel like part of a structured development plan rather than just parking them somewhere ahead of releasing them.

he's looked by far the most promising of the youngsters on the basis of the glimpses we've had thus far. Looks a stand out playing with the young 'uns too. But he is young: wasn't it was only when they got a proper look at him in training that he was promoted to the first team squad?

Rangers plot summer bid for Dundee ace Greg Stewart
Oleg_Mcnoleg replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Was he not being linked last summer? -
Davis is evidently a half decent coach and a complete nut. Seems to manage to pick fights at any club rash enough to employ him. Regularly talks about himself in the third person which, if Oleg had his way, would be enough evidence to have him sectioned.

Is a museum going to generate continual revenue? It'll get 30,000 visits in the first year and then a mere trickle thereafter, IMHO. -
Not in the defence, on that evidence:eek: Just as well the keeper's a talented lad. From those highlights, they didn't look like they got out of second gear though. Also seemed a bit uneasy on the artificial surface.

Just puerile nonsense. ''I'm not sure why I don't like it but I don't. Besides which you're all dirty orange hun bigots''

Wow. No room to work in at all. Exceptional piece of play

You've just been accusing him of attending board meetings in order to boost your own credentials so, in this instance, not really.

Could probably do with a rest. Hopefully MO'H can take a bit of the load from him.

I said as much on the FF thread. And then I re-read the John Bennett threads and decided I didn't have much sympathy at all.
