Just been reading that the £750,000 bonus Pep got for his part in city winning the champions league he donated to the staff at the club well done young man that’s a classy move . 

Tragic news a first class player with the buddies then down in England and I do believe he was a blue nose as well .

And here’s me thinking this new Ibrox setup would have swung into action like a Rolls Royce and the players identified and signed hope it’s not a couple of last minute loan deals we get 

Farm out the young players into junior football get them prepared for the hammer throwers 

A simple reserve league with say five first team squad players allowed then play the younger players beside them so they can learn it would also help injured players get match fit. .

Transfer window opens in a couple of days so we will get an inkling to the type of players the DoF and manager bring into the club 

Do we ever look at players in the junior leagues these days or do we consider ourselves above that

That's a good point. I suspect most don't want a DoF to have complete control like I do. Someone to work behind the scenes might be better. 

I am a bit old for this modern stuff but I would say that if a team fails abysmally sure the manager should be sacked but so should the DoF

Looking at our signings over the last 6 years (Wilson arrived Oct 2019), I can't see any overriding philosophy. I see a hodgepodge of players, signed by the three different managers over that period, each quite different from the other. 

 

We've seen a squad rebuild, transition into first-team players to push to win a title under SG; to youngsters, loans and older players under GvB; to MB signing players that he knows. The profile of MB's signings is better, but the idea of a DoF having a guiding influence is non-existent. 

 

I don't think Wilson, or Allen, had as much control as they should have had. 

 

What's the profile? Where's the recruitment philosophy?
