He owns the land inside the red. He literally owns the land around the stadium. Don't know who he bought it from.

Council owned it I would say it’s not exactly prime land for development looking at the area pretty worthless I do remember the Glasgow council giving them special permission to overhang the graveyard with their north stand and as far as I’m led to believe Janefield street which runs behind that stand is now blocked to all traffic.

There was also an issue with the electric pylon that used to be outside the front of the stadium I think Mr McCan had the power company remove it as it was on land owned by the club .

Prior to the commonwealth games plenty of folk made a killing by acquiring land in that district from the council at bottom dollar prices only to sell most of it back to the same council at a very handsome price .

The situation with their stadium is weird. Willie Haughey owns all the land around Celtic’s stadium, and it was sold to him for £1,000 back in 2000, with Celtic being the feuar.

I do believe that Murray also bought up some land were the commonwealth village stands land that was badly contaminated buy it cheap and sell it for a nice little earner

Let's break it down - what are the qualities we want in a manager:

    - Clear tactical style - and an ability to implement it from scratch

    - Experience (winning experience rather than longevity)

    - Leadership

    - Ability to develop and improve players

    - Pashun

    - Brogues

    What else?

    Cheap

IIRC, Murray brought in Enic around that time. It allowed him to spend cash that previously wasn't available. As 26th of Foot always says, he was a gambler. He always believed that he could raise more cash. after he spent Enic's cash, he used Dave King's (plus a bit of his own), then NTL then JJB. He was confident in his own infallibility in raising more cash for the club.

It was this gambling streak that finally brought his business down as he financed the purchase of property with short term loans rather than mortgage related finance so when the financial crisis happened in 2008 he was screwed.

He could go through money like my wife. 😆

It does suggest we'll get a DoF.

I see this (him being a coach) as a positive. I think that's what we've always needed. We don't have quality players that can almost manage themselves. We need a coach that can instruct and develop them.

I think the secret of  DOF and manager is getting two people who are singing off the same song sheet

Is London as a venue a good sign? Handy for Clement but also Eustace. Probably rules out McInnes.

For some reason, I’m starting to lean towards Muscat. I didn’t like him as a player because he was a nutcase. It’s not going to be him, though. He’s still in Yokohama so there isn’t any need for the appointments committee to go to London. Tokyo would have been a big clue.

    Check the Heathrow arrivals board

DJ made his debut against Cowdenbeath at Ibrox, scoring twice in a 5-0 victory. I believe he was 16.

Zak Lovelace made his debut against Queen of the South at Ibrox. I believe he was 16.

Bailey Rice made his debut away to Livi'. I believe he was 16.

Derek Ferguson made his debut in Tom Forsyth's testimonial match at Ibrox. I believe he was 15.

The only other one I can think that may be a challenger is Alex O'Hara. I believe he was 16 when he made his debut against Borussia Monchengladbach at Ibrox in a 3-2 victory.

As my old dad used to say, you’re all the man your ever going to be at 16
