Roma would have been ideal and you could have done the Vatican tour when in town .

The most important thing for us is to win the league and guarantee ourselves some of this European money and let the manager and DOF invest it well

Think we might see Thomas Tuchel back at the bridge or maybe Jurgen Klopp taking over at Bayern

That’s a great photo of Alex Scott.
A bewildered Willie McSeveney on the ground, maybe? Don’t know the other bloke. John Martis?
I think it is Martis

He’s a coach not a manager
In lots of cases the step up from being a coach to manager comes easy to some in Beale's case it was a non starter

The willy nilly spending spree that was under £5M NET?
But I get what you are saying - no DoF, left all to MB to recruit.
However, with the exception of Lammers, his signings are all now contributing (or contributed before being injured).
It's easy to heap all the blame on Beale, but :
1. He didn't hire himself
and
2. Hardly likely to walk away from the best job he's ever gonna have / get.
Which was all said / discussed at the time of his appointment and / or sacking.
He's gone, let him go and hopefully he can forge a career for himself.
I'd say it's time to close the thread.
I haven't blamed Beale but I have reservations on those who sanctioned the money £5 million to us is a fair sum of money these days would be nice if we could offload some for a good profit

Hopefully anyone involved in the recruitment of Beale has learned a lot from their big mistake.
Those involved should be sacked especially them that allowed the willy nilly spending spree

Me Beale is just another one who failed in the job along with Perdo Ally Mark and a few others let's hope he finds a job that uses his coaching skills and gives him a decent living, good luck to him .

I see Roy Hodgson has resigned as Palace manager it’s time for him to spend his time away from the dressing room pressure I wish him well.

I agree. Last season's Celtic side wouldn't have dropped the points they have this season. They were on 73 points at this stage last season, on 62 this season. Surprisingly we're on exactly the same points after 26 matches that we were last season, 64. There is an argument that this season's Rangers side isn't as strong as last season's side, certainly we've fewer striking options, our defence is pretty much the same but we've a better keeper.
That shouldn't take away from what Clement has achieved results and performance wise though, he's taken a side lacking direction and, I'd say, ability, and turned them into a side much better than the sum of its parts.
He’s steadied the buffs and is taking us in the right direction we’re top of the tree but can we still be top at the seasons end , I do hope so .

The Sunderland job could be one of the best if only the club was run in a proper manner a good fan base that’s been waiting years for someone to take them in the right direction
