I saw Banks make a save from Denis Law at Wembley when we "absolutely" trounced them 3-2 in 1967. It was brilliant. I thought it was a certain goal but Banks dived backwards and pushed it round the post.

I remember that save it was fantastic

It’s not just the Pele save. (I saw McCloy do something similar for Motherwell against Neil Martin of the Hibs)

It’s the saves he made without the need for acrobatics because of his anticipation and sureness of catch.

I always though Neil Martin would have been ideal playing alongside Colin Stein at Ibrox and I also fancied AlexEdwards as an inside man at Rangers by the way both Edwards and Banks were both bricklayers as was captain cutlass.

I don't see what the club own it's own can do? all the other clubs need to agree & support Rangers views and challenge the system as one, right now nobody really cares as long as it is Rangers players that are suffering! which tells me that all other clubs are quite happy as it stands!.

You may have answered your own question who is going to stand with us as long as its Rangers who are suffering not one will stand with us ,not one .

Rangers demand review of SFA’s disciplinary system after Allan McGregor’s ban

RANGERS have demanded the SFA review its disciplinary system as 'a matter of extreme urgency' after Allan McGregor lost his appeal against a two-game ban.

Gers keeper McGregor today failed in his bid to overturn the ban imposed for a studs-up challenge on Aberdeen's Lewis Ferguson during his side's 4-2 win.

Referee Bobby Madden took no action at the time but compliance officer Clare Whyte issued the punishment after reviewing TV evidence.

McGregor attended the Hampden hearing in person to plead his case but was unable to get the punishment overturned.

The Ibrox club also failed in an appeal against the red card dished out to Alfredo Morelos in the same game with the Gers striker currently serving a three-game ban.

Rangers said in a statement: "Rangers has no option other than to accept this decision.

"However, it is abundantly clear questions about the current disciplinary system, which we believe is flawed, must be posed.

"Rangers has been in dialogue with the Scottish FA on this topic for some time and would argue that the system is now thoroughly reviewed as a matter of extreme urgency."

The compliance officer has been busy this week after a number of recent controversial incidents.

Kilmarnock's Alan Power faced no further punishment despite catching Gers midfielder Ryan Jack in the face with a high boot.

St Mirren's Paul McGinn also escaped a ban despite smashing his arm into the face of Dundee United's Cammy Smith.

But Hibs' Darnell Johnston was hit with a two-game ban for crunching into Celtic's Emilio Izaguirre in the Hoops' 2-0 win last Wednesday night.

    To little to late

  5. There was a league cup semi final back in the early 70s Stoke the Hammers  banks made save after save that night at old Trafford we even had Bobby Moore saving a penalty after their keeper had to go off it ended three goals to two for Stoke that night , a great game .

    Second hand justice for some.

As I said nothing is perfect look at this table and we can see others have suffered except the hooped horrors it makes it easier for them when all the other teams get weakened is it no wonder they went so many games without defeat  playing in a weekend league so as I suggest end this compliance nonsense now  and let the man in the middle shape up and earn their  wages .

I don't subscribe to the Kante criticism. Kante is an average, at best, player -- although a machine when it comes to winning the ball back -- therefore I wouldn't be trying to find his best position, I'd look to build the squad around better players. He's at his best in a two; anything else and he struggles. There are solutions, but I wouldn't change my whole system for him.

I think there's something wrong with that Chelsea squad. How many times are they going to 'down tools'? I thought it was Mourinho third-season-syndrome, but then they down tools under Conte, and now I feel like they're doing it again.

They need to stick with a manager and rebuild. I'm not sure Sarri is the one, because he's too idealistic.

The big mistake managers make when playing a far superior side is to try and play the same way as their betters best to play to your own lads strengths.

Yeah, McCrorie arguably the best player on the park after the 60min mark as both teams seemed to cancel each other out.

Surprised our manager didn't fancy a change or two but I guess it makes sense to take the game back to Ibrox.  However, it will be exactly the same kind of match and after four attempts Gerrard and his team don't seem to know how to get the best of Killie; especially with no Morelos.

Will the replay game count as one of Alfie's banned matches
