Really? They use it in a sectarian, derogatory manner. "Know your place hun scum". It's used in a condescending, bigoted way. I don't see anything to be proud of.

The gunners have ended their drought , this is the first time in eight years they have come back from one down at half time to win a match .

So, let me get this right coop.
1. You are questioning whether Gerrard is telling the truth ? "If, and its a huge IF, SG nominated Alfie".
2. You are suggesting that the captain of the team goes against the wishes of his manager
Yep, that makes perfect sense to go against the wishes of the manager. A certain way to ensure that a tight-knit team remains tight knit is by going against the manager's express wishes and pissing off another team-mate at the same time. Yep, makes perfect sense
I may be in the minority but it sure looks to me like you have found your scapegoat for yesterday's defeat - its a shame, particularly given Tavernier was one of our better players. Even more of a shame given the person who actually DID miss the penalty was one who missed a number of chances during the game. Personally, I wouldn't have ANY scapegoats as they all worked tirelessly for the cause.
Its all water under the bridge now lads

Important points. At the end of the game yesterday I felt desperately low. Today, reflecting on what happened and where we are on this journey, I surprise myself by feeling much more pride than disappointment. We're almost there - you know what they say about the darkest hour coming just before the dawn ?
Im as low as a submarine I am running short of time to see another trophy maybe the league will perk me up .

While that's mostly accurate it ends on a peculiar note. On the one hand he points out that they were played off the park and lucky to win this cup then that somehow translates to champions again? He expects that kind of luck to continue and take them all the way to the title?
I've watched football for longer than I care to remember and sometimes a team can play way below their best and still win that's what the hooped horrors did yesterday no matter what we did we were not going to score we need to get yesterday out of our system and get back to picking up the points in the league and forget about that lot until its time to play them again if we don't we will be playing for second place again .

I’d also disagree that we lost because of Collum. He got most decisions right. His linesman cost us the game. Collum COULD have given us a further two penalties but they were also easy enough to not give.
We would probably have missed them as well it just wasn't going to be our day

Beginning to look even at this relatively early stage as if it's a gap way too far for Man City to bridge. Given Liverpool's record in the league over the past two seasons 14 points is probably beyond recovery. If Liverpool beat Leicester this month the EPL title could be settled in December.
And they call the Scottish league noncompetitive. The past couple of years only two have been competing for the EPL while finishing 20+ points ahead of third place.
If Leicester beat liverpool then I think they can win it again, will have to check the odds

Steven Gerrard new contract until 2024

McGregor and Davis I have no qualms about a short contract but I think the Defoe wage packet might be better used if our director of football identifies a decent striker at a decent price , if Morelos keeps playing well and scoring it will be difficult to hold on to him once the agents start filling his head with stories of fantastic wages in the premier league .
