Aston Villa were unlucky to lose it so late especially after Martinez pulled off save of the season seconds before the winner.

Man City v Leeds was a good game to watch with City looking for a goal but the Leeds winner was quality.

Leeds played in a crimson outfit I would imagine there might have been some crimson faces on that city bench if your pushing for the league it's your duty to start with your strongest eleven.

    Return of the War Chest.

A dozen years past, former Sellik player and all round Daftie, Tosh McKinlay took to media waters and found he could swim. I should mention a flotation device was an essential, and Tosh had a preference for the, 'War Chest'. Grabbing on for dear life, Tosh spent three years boasting of unique insider information, promising ra Sellik had a War Chest of gazillions to put an end to Walter Smith's annoying continued good fortune. On both the BBC and Radio Snyde, Producers considered giving Tosh his own show, 'Tosh Talks Pysh', an appreciative audience waited to avail.

Tosh ran out of puff, the War Chest dragged him under and, he was rescued by Sellik TV. Tosh found comfort in an avid ever expanding audience ripe for continuous fantasy. Tosh got in the swim by reverting to type. Those safe, calm waters surrounding ra Stade de Gadd this last decade, have recently become troubled. Of course, drowning Yahoos are a hazard to navigation and flotation devices are needed urgently. Diving in with a War Chest full of War Chests to rescue fellow webbed propulsionists, is the Daily Record's Gabriel McKay.

Today's back page headline(no links) screams : "£60 million Transfer War Chest Granted to new Manager".

Gabriel seamlessly impersonates Tosh, effortlessly talking pysh. He does the Yahoo arithmetic :

Olivier Ntcham will be sold for £5 million.

Kris Ajer is heading to Serie A for £25 million.

Odsonne Edouard is a bargain at £25 million.

Ryan Christie is Premiership bound for £8 million.

Leigh Griffiths(pray for him) will be granted a Free Transfer saving Sellik a £1 million in wages.

If you read the article and I do not recommend it, you can hear the air escaping from Gabriel's lifebelt. He finishes by reminding the readership that Lennon was given £15 million for transfers in the summer and the next manager can expect at least the same again. Before you can utter, 'Howe does that all add up'? Gabriel has another piece with Roger Mitchell, apparently he weighs in? Good, he'll drown and fish have got to eat.

Doesn't matter a toss we won a proper league title and will win it next year as well :rfcbouncy:

The competition was a lot poorer when it was the European Cup. The Champions League has a lot of fantastic games.

Look at the year Steaua won it. They beat Vejle, Honved and Kuusysi to reach the semis! They beat Anderlecht in the semis and then drew the final 0-0 against Barca in an extremely boring game.

That's hardly a fantastic achievement and a vast majority of people wouldn't be interested in any of the games other than the final, which was a borefest.

The CL is a far better competition and much more challenging and entertaining.

That's what cup football is all about you take whoever your drawn against

  5. Best to call a spade a space now we have clowns saying that the television show Some mothers do have them is homophobic what next Bill and Ben having to come out the closet

Unreal turnaround at Stamford Bridge. And a good game.

Chelsea go infront and you think its a routine home victory but Thiago daftly jumps in for no reason and is sent off. West Brom had wasted a couple of free kicks and didnt look like scoring then route one out of nothing they are level with a fine lob. They have another few chances missed then a well worked second goal.

Tuchel got the sub wrong after going to 10 men, he has to just go with a back four with James and Alonso moving to be the full backs and leave the rest on the players on the field and play 4-4-1.

Hope the Baggies can hold on.

    There's always a coupon buster

  7. Righty ho back to some decent football after the international dross of the past week

    Chelsea 3 West Bromwich 0

    Leeds 3 Sheffield 0

    Leicester 0 City2

    Arsenal 2 Liverpool 2

    Southampton 2 Burnley 1

    Newcastle 0 Spurs 0

    Villa 2 Fulham 1

    United 2 Brighton 1

    Everton 3 Palace 1

    Wolves 3 Hammers 1

  8. Let's face it you are never going to get rid of racism in football no matter what the politicians put into law or football authorities put into rules it's still going to be a horrid part of life I prefer the Roy Keane or Souness methods .
