Let's look at his record one premier league title a flop in the cup competitions a couple of decent runs in the Thursday night cup and dont forget last year's premier league was probably the weakest one since its inception at Ibrox he cant do much wrong and we will have to accept that as job done, but I think the geordies need a lot better than a greenhorn manager as for the liverpool job no the yanks want someone to bring success he would be out of his depth .

Gers with Alfredo as first scorer will net me 33/1 but the best bets might be had at Fir park were I think the steelmen will win today

I read a topic in another place about players who had played for both Rangers and Hearts, though, obviously, not at the same time. The list was quite long with Jardine, Macdonald and McCann prominent in most people’s memories.
No one mentioned Eddie Rutherford outside left for Rangers in Iron Curtain title winning teams who went to Tynecastle, maybe reluctantly, in exchange for Colin Liddell who didn’t play all that many games and didn’t achieve very much.
It seemed strange at the time. Maybe Mr Struth thought Colin was related to Billy Liddell the great Liverpool and Scotland left winger and hoped he had some of his immense talent. Do you mind on it, @compo? Were you bewildered like me?
All managers have signed they're fair share of duds

Hopefully 4LHAD gets belted out a few times just for Michael Stewart and Jeanette Findlay
Fans should meet up outside the Govan stand and give a open air concert of our full repertoire of songs as it's not in the stadium no one can complain ?

At 13.30 hrs Steve Bruce will give his weekly press briefing not knowing if he will be in a job or out once the new owners get round to making their decision.
My take is the man has been treated abysmally by the owners in the past week and I hope he walks away with his head held high and a whopping amount of compensation.

Jock Stein transformed a team of losing donkeys into what became a nightmare. In his first season he got Simpson on a free and bought Clark from Morton. Next season they won the ……. sorry I can’t go on. I have to take something to dull the memory.
Did Stein not offload Simpson from Hibs because he didn't rate him then found himself lumbered with him at Parkhead, I was told this by a former Hibs captain.

The Arabs say they are in for the lo g haul at Newcastle all this talk about a new manager is all I hear ,why dont they stick with Bruce he's had to do the jo on a poundland budget come the transfer window let him buy some decent players and take it from there .
Bruce was a first class player at Norwich and one of the first on the team sheet at United, every club he's managed have always been struggling financially, so I would give him his chance .

I’d suggest Ashley lost a quite a bit at Newcastle over his time there. The problem Newcastle will have, regardless if who owns them, is that the best players in the world don’t want to live in Geordieland
There's some nice places just outside Newcastle just within an hours travel it's not all woman with hairy chests ?

Wouldn't touch Stevie with a bargepole he won one title in the poorest league for years if the magpies are spending serious money then you want one who's tried and tested over the course.
Just wish would have bought the toffees ?
