really nice looking top but like the others, the sponsorship puts me off. There's just something about  having a gambling company plastered over a football top that not right.

On a side note, do we know when the sponsorship deal ends?

Nothing wrong whatsoever with a gambling companies name on a top they plough millions into teams some clubs would probably go to the wall without this money .

    Mon the bookies

Coming back to reality, I used to enjoy the pies in the restaurant at Lewis’s Argyle Street.

Last time I was up in Glasgow that big building was lying empty in fact most of what I seen was rather run down .

To digress a little, I see both Rangers and Celtic are playing at home on Saturday, which is rare these days. I remember it also happened on a Wednesday night when we played Torino in the ECWC in 1972. I can't remember who Celtic were playing but I'll never forget the bricks coming through our bus windows after the match and a fairly cold, wet journey back to Perth. Those were the days!

Will give the opposing fans a chance to bond 🤪

    Talking of North east cuisine.

Way back in the day, a fixture at Pittodrie meant arriving amid the grey granite at Noon. The Masonic club just off Union Street was a must and you had to be in early to get a seat. The freshest fish for lunch was available and I love fish; however, there was a member's wifey who did a pot of homemade stovies. They were served piping accompanied by a pair wholemeal oatcakes. A culinary triumph.

In Lanarkshire, stovies are served with the outsider of a plain loaf.

If Gordon Ramsay put Stovies avec oatcakes on the Amaryllis, I might give it a whirl.

A good square slice between two ootsiders with a tottie scone just the job

  5. Football fans want real grub things like a roll and square sliced or roll and bacon  pie and peas pie and gravy a birdie or maybe a rowie with jam on it .
