Uruguay gone. They play a lot of neat football but they are consistently the meanest of the South Americans.

Brazil were dull. Cameroon were wildly inefficient but quite exciting. Their ‘keeper had a butter-fingered twenty minutes in the second half but Brazil kept hitting shots high and wide.

England could win this with Germany out of the way.

     Its  a funny old game

    Embra derby yet again.

The Rose v the Rovers. No street-dancing in Raith?

Drumchapel Utd draw a plum tie with a trip to Elgin. Are Drum any good? Should I worry?

Should Aberdeen worry about Darvel? I wonder where the match will be played.

Darvel , Newmilns and  Galston three places top heavy in retards hard to believe three places so close have so many screwballs

The promise of a sensational ending lured me into watching the last ten minutes of France v Tunisia. The lady commentator kept on about the Tunians. Who they?

VAR was technically right to chalk off the French goal but a lot happened between Griezman getting back from an offside position and driving it into the net.

There were about two minutes left for play. The ref blew for full time. Then the VAR issue came up. Thank God I’m a fan of neither the French nor the Tunians. For one lot, Elation/Despair. For the other, Elation/Despair/Elation - then more Despair because the other result meant they were out no matter what.

Pity that a minimal offside can’t be overruled by the artistic or technical merit of the disallowed goal but who’s to judge that?

    Mon the tunias

You are correct.  C1872 made an announcement on it and yes he did work at the Club at King's behest alongside another person who is in the shadows at C1872 - Chris Graham

I've no idea of the jobs they do, in all honesty.  And i've no axe to grind against them personally, but this whole thing has lost any credibility.

I haven't wanted to say this and have held out as long as I could, but I think C1872 needs to die.  No idea what that would mean for all the shares they are responsible for, but they only have themselves to blame.

Time to turn off their life support

It is official, Michael Beale is the Rangers Gaffer.

Michael has my every best wish, I hope he is the most successful Rangers Boss of my approaching 60 years follow following Rangers.

Deliberately, I have stayed off the Forum this last month. I have been traveling, including 12 days in my Mallorcan pied a terre. Contemplation was needed because the last two away games against both the Perth and Paisley Saints highlighted a phenomenon that cannot be ignored.

The GVB year was a very good year. He took us to our sixth Euro' final, won the Cup and, successfully guided us through four Champions League qualifiers. He made the club a shed load of money. He was hampered by significant injuries to key players. In saying all that, he was Toast after Liverpool thrashed us 1-7 on our own midden. The details of that game are worth remembering - we were drawing 1-1 with thirty minutes left to play. We succumbed to an eight minute hat trick from a substitute and only some outstanding goal keeping kept the scoreline below double figures. Elements of our team stopped soldiering.

Our Board should have applied the maxim, always reinforce success. they did not, preferring to recoup their soft loan monies and, I do not think we can blame them for doing so?

During both Saints games, most of the teams refused to soldier.

I think Beale has an interesting problem. He has to find a way to install professionalism individually and collectively. Hard decisions must be made that will impact upon ambition. Leadership is required.

A fortnight’s rest and recreation at Gullane would be a good start put some meat on the bones of our Jessie’s
