Pretty sure £6K is what he was on. -

The moral of the story: being capped by Scotland and playing well for non old firm Scottish sides counts for very little. I don't think it's a coincidence that all these Scottish league players we signed then completely bombed. -
We are in agreement then. And regarding your question, you are not allowed to ever criticise anybody who has ever been associated with Rangers, no matter how obvious their misdeeds.
-
In your opinion. I disagree.
-
The only times he has ever performed are in the second tier in Scotland and the third in England. We need better than that.
-
He’s obviously got a screw loose. Normal people don’t behave like this.

Not based on tonight he wasn't. And if he's so good, why is he playing for Kansas City in his 20's? Naismith was miles better than Morelos in his last 2 seasons. He stood out in a Rangers team winning trophies, one infinitely better than what we have now. Morelos blows hot and cold in what has been over his time so far, a pretty damn poor team. Regardless, whether he's better than one particular player is irrelevant. The question is if he has value to add to our team, and I would say he certainly does. I would far rather have him involved than some loan player like Ryan Kent or Umar Sadiq, whom will leave us at the end of the season and probably never be seen on a TV screen again. And as per the OP, a Steven Naismith anything like his former self will always be 10 times the Kyle Laffertys of the world. Not sure why internationals is relevant. Naismith has proven his quality with us already and also in the EPL. The only question is whether he still has a fraction of his old ability. It seems he's still a very decent player. Based on what I have seen this season, Steven Naismith would walk into our team. We severely lack quality in the final third. We badly lack the movement, technique and intelligence he has. And would our support accept him? We put up with Ian Black betting against us, we put up with Kenny Miller and we've put up with all sorts of heinous things over the years. If Naismith came back and scored a goal against the tims, 50000 people at Ibrox would be chanting his name.

Stuff like this makes our support just as bad as there’s. By all accounts, this area is extremely dangerous and fortunately action is being taken. You would think our supporters would know more than most what can happen with overcrowding. And bringing up the child abuse stuff here has what relevance exactly? -

Oh come on, if tims had done this would you be talking about ‘rushes of blood to the head’? I think anyone capable of being so easily provoked and disbanding any interest in those around’s safety, clearly isn’t very bright. -

I hope we learn something from all the crap players we signed from Scottish clubs during that period. Looking good at a non old firm club means very little. -
[FT] Scotland 0 - 4 Belgium

Belgium are filled to the brim with world beaters. We need to be taking the Belgium, Iceland etc approach and overhauling our game. I’ve been saying this since I first registered on follow follow about 20 years ago so I should probably throw the towel in and accept our game will always be pish. Regardless, Alex McLeish was the most pathetic appointment we could possibly have made. It’s acceptance of failure. -

We have a bear in the dugout and he’s worse than they are. The problems with Scottish football transcends mere individuals, but no nation will get anywhere without a half decent coach. -

if we’re prepared to appoint an incompetent buffoon like McLeish as our manager then we deserve everything we get. We’ve lost every game bar one under him and it will only get worse. -

The EPL limits clubs to having 2 loanees at once, and 4 in a season. That’s a much more sensible approach than what we’ve got. We can potentially field half a team that isn’t ours just now and that’s ridiculous. -

I'm talking about the last few years collectively. And I'd say Coulibaly has been the only clear success so far from the current lot Looking long term, there should be much more a focus on developing our talent than other teams'. -

We've had really limited success from all these loanees. We should only be loaning players if they're much better than what we've got, or what we can buy, and often they aren't even good enough in the first place. It plugs a gap and should be used sparingly. The exception to the rule is if we have an option to buy the player at the end of the loan. At least we might get some sort of long term gain out of it then. -

You’re obviously completely correct. The old firm rivalry and atmosphere is about the only thing the Scottish game has going for it, and nullifying that is stupid. -

They totally battered us yesterday. Such a disappointment.
