Durham is a fantastic troll. What he says he predominately believes in, which is the perfect mix. Plus the way he goes after Arsenal is hilarious. The only positive I can see is that he's an unknown quantity and not some hopeless Scottish manager that would be destined to fail. That said, looking at his CV this looks like an April fool's joke. PLG completely bombed after leaving us so that suggests he was never very good in the first place. Warburton was a revelation in the first season and a complete disaster in the second. We have played with no style at all this season.

Last season failing in Egypt! Let's review his positions since leaving: Scotland - did well initially but lost to Georgia and ultimately failed. Birmingham City - relegated twice. Left under a cloud. Aston Villa - almost relegated and sacked. In charge less than a year. Nottingham Forest - sacked after barely a month. Genk - sacked after less than a year. Zamalek - sacked after a couple of months. Good managers don't get sacked repeatedly over a short period like that. The guy's absolutely awful. He can't hold onto a job in Egypt FFS

Eck's win record is irrelevant. Ultimately, he was a monumental disaster who cannot even hold onto a job in Egypt.

I almost get the impression that the board are deliberately leaking awful targets to make big Eck look favourable. I really just can't be bothered anymore if Eck comes back. It would be one of the most idiotic decisions we have ever made.

His name doesn't look out of place with most of the other candidates.
