  1. How much Euro money will we get when we fail at the first hurdle? And I don't see us spending much any time soon. Given what we spent on Garner, we need to be very careful whichever way we do proceed. Almost £2 million on a guy who scored 7 league goals. In reality he's probably worth about £200k.
  2. A blatant offside and handball should. Regardless, and this is not just me being bitter, the FA cup does not mean that much anymore. I'm just disappointed that it can't be considered a double winning season. Any trophy that a joke club like Arsenal regularly win is clearly meaningless.
  3. Need to get Hazard on the ball as much as possible. This is the exact type of game he can take by the scruff of the neck and make something happen.
  4. The flag goes up, the Chelsea players stop and he clearly interferes with play. Bizarre.
  5. I'm not sure we'll even spend £3m collectively, let alone on one player.
  6. I spent this afternoon sleeping (hungover) and watching Twin Peaks. I just cannot bring myself to watch a single minute of Scottish football unless it involves us. Anyway, game's kicked off. Good to see a minute's silence observed as opposed to breaking into ridiculous clapping and singing. Children died. Bow your head and shut up for a minute to pay your respects. Simple.
  7. McInnes has done a pretty decent job, but only in a diddy league. He would be a huge risk for Sunderland.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39905241 A magnificent win and a magnificent appointment. Conte has proven he is the greatest manager in the world and the only hope is that we keep him for next season. I slated both him and Chelsea early on this season and quite deservedly. After the Arsenal debate I quite rightly backed them all the way. Magnificent all round folks. Blue is the colour. It's good to have a side I'm proud of supporting.
  9. My query here would be...do we have a 'real coach'? I mean, his CV is awful. I'm fully behind him as I would be with any appointment, but I remain ambivalent. At the end of the day, who fucking knows until he has his own team. I think you more than anyone else would have zero faith in this board unearthing a Conte out of nowhere....
  10. Yeah, that's something I never said.
  11. He remains a bamboozling appojntment, especially after we've been stung recently on more than one occasion by managers with a limited track record. He showed initial promise, particularly in the second half against Aberdeen, but overall things have been pretty shambolic. He has no discernible style and much of that Partick game was as poor as anything I saw under McCoist. The fact he could ever see the long ball as a viable tactic to win a match is extremely worrying. He needs to get a season with his own players, however, just like any other manager. At the end of the day, does anyone trust our club or board to unearth an unknown gem, whether it's on the park or off it?
  12. Playing in the third division and finishing potentially 40+ points behind Celtic will stay with me until my dying day too. David Murray is the root of all of our problems and his involvement in our club was cancerous.
  13. This is as bad as I've seen us in years. The long balls are just making me want to switch the TV off.
  14. What to me sums up our support is those that want a useless player like Lafferty back. Steven Naismith was a very decent EPL player not long ago and is a genuine talent. Let's be frank, our squad is absolutely shit. Naismith is so far above anything we currently have.
  15. I don't see us finding anyone half as good as Naismith in the summer. Decent players cost money. If he's an option, sign him up.
