  1. What do you think he was worth? No player playing poorly in Scotland is ever going to be worth much, particularly playing for us.
  2. That is smart. The sooner we get Nike or Adidas back the better. Puma do make some decent looking kits, but they don't for us. Not sure we even get the proper Puma kits.
  3. He doesn't fill me with much optimism either but what's the alternative? MPH is the only name that's looked intriguing to me and with our recent managerial luck who knows how he'd do.
  4. What has McInnes achieved in football to suggest he has the necessary ability to manage a club of our size? Finishing second in one of the worst leagues in Europe, which has only one half decent team, means nothing.
  5. What is in store for him? A piss poor league and far more resources than everyone else bar one team? I don't care where our manger is from or what his background is. I just want to see us back to some semblance of what we used to be.
  6. Noticed he was quite high up on the favourites list. Last seen at Fleetwood Mac. If nothing else recent years have shown we should always be prepared for another episode of embarrassment.
  7. 5 out of our last 6 managerial appointments have been abysmal and we've had really poor interim ones in addition to that. This is something we shouldn't rush into. The problem with left field gambles is we don't have the infrastructure in place to identify good ones. We end up with absolute buffoons like Pedro.
  8. McInnes would be an OK appointment if we're content for fighting for second place and exiting Europe at the first or second hurdle. There is nothing on his CV to suggest he would take us any further than that. That said, he's at least a competent manager and so one of the best on the list of favourites.
  9. Davies would be an extremely lacklustre appointment but he has proven himself at a higher level than McInnes and most of the other favourites. That said, it would be absolutely ridiculous to appoint him considering he hasn't even been in management since 2014, which ended badly.
  10. You just had to take one look at his CV to know we had a turkey: http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?84067-This-managerial-appointment-is-embarrassing
  11. I would sooner eat my own body weight in shite than have Neil Lennon employed by our club in any capacity.
  12. Absolutely this. It was obvious to anyone with a modicum of sense that Pedro was clueless after our European debacle and we've wasted months with nothing but regression. If a manager is clearly failing then get rid of him. Foreign teams have no problem doing it and we should be no different. We've had various woeful managers in recent times who lasted far, far longer than they should have. We've actually been much quicker than usual with Pedro.
  13. We are as far from having a good team as we have ever been in our history.
  14. NO NO NO!!!!!!! We would be as well getting Ally back.
  15. De Boer's just failed miserably in two jobs and I'm honestly not sure how he'd do with us, if we could even get him. I'd have him every day of the week ahead of Big Eck, McInnes etc tho.
  16. I don't think he's past it at all. He just did well at in an EPL job and is one of the favourites to be the new Everton manager. The main obstacle is he usually commands millions more than we're likely to pay.
  17. We shouldn't be afraid to push the boat out on a decent manager. The tims did it with Rodgers and look at them.
  18. Allardyce might play shite football but he's proven himself as a competent manager in one of the biggest leagues in the world. Compare that to the other bookie's favourites.
  19. For you? A manager who's been a complete and utter failure for 4 years doesn't entice me. That said, he has still proven himself in a big league and that instantly puts him ahead of most of the rest.
  20. Ryan Jack is the type of player we should only continue to sign if we're happy to continue being dozens of points behind the tims.
  21. Who in our current team would you honestly say is good enough to be regularly playing for a club of our size?
  22. Excellent news. This should have happened a while ago but hopefully we can start to now rebuild and rectify the mess we're in. My only concern is we end up with someone even worse like Big Eck. I shudder at the thought of that. I want something better than a run of the mill, mediocre Scottish manager like McInnes too. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the name that sticks out out of the favourites is Big Sam. He's pretty much the antithesis of my footballing ideology and I've always been a critic of his, but compared to the competition he looks a terrific option. He'd have us strong at the back, fighting and I reckon it wouldn't take much for him to have us challenging Celtic again. He looks like a Walter option to me. Get him in for a couple of seasons and restore some self respect. I want a Rangers side playing proper football and winning trophies. But after years of embarrassment I'll take just getting the basics right and playing winning football.
  23. People really can't pull the negative poster card when we're sitting 4th in a 1 team league.
