  1. I’m still somewhat at a loss why you haven’t yet figured out the buck stops with the manager. He picks the team, coaches them and sets out the tactics. If the players are not performing then it’s his responsibility to fix it. At least you’re not blaming the ref or luck this week though.
  2. I'm sorry but the penny will never drop to anyone who thinks Murty has any future as our manager. All of the embarrassing defeats are one thing, but back to back defeats against Killie should be an automatic dismissal. The guy in the opposite dugout is a hugely experienced coach with bags of EPL experience. Whether he would come is one thing, but an approach should be made immediately. Case in point: Killie's last 5 games = 11 points whilst we have a pitiful 9. What is their wage bill compared to ours?
  3. I think when Carragher is driving down the road he shouldn't have to deal with some twat shouting at him and filming him. Who the fuck drives down a road with their young daughter filming people on their phone? Spitting is disgusting but Carragher is a decent pundit and the father's actions are more reprehensible to me than Carragher's. I don't think spitting is something I would ever be capable of doing, but we've all had a rush of blood to the head, particularly dealing with insidious morons.
  4. The father is the real arsehole in all of this. He created this situation: he was acting like a complete fanny, recording someone and goading them whilst driving and sounded delighted that his daughter had been spat on. Absolute scum. Feel sorry for the young girl pleading with her awful dad. The best end to this story would have been if Carragher got him right in the eyes.
  5. Extremely poor in the second half. Murty just isn’t good enough. This is not a good Celtic team at all and they were there for the taking.
  6. Honestly, I’m struggling to recall ever seeing a Celtic side as bad as this one, but our defence is all over the place. We absolutely must win this game today.
  7. If you have any familiarity with my posting history, you will know I’m not someone to take offence easily and I often find our support as paranoid as they are. However, gesturing to your own support is a complete joke and not something I will tolerate. Particularly from someone who ultimately is an extremely mediocre player.
  8. And I’m sure he’s bothered what you have to say too, senor. Thanks for the contribution though.
  9. Works if you're managing Argentina or Germany perhaps. When you're trying to take a team of English championship and SPL players to a big tournament there's more complexity. We need to take the approach of Iceland, Belgium etc and look at the bigger picture. I.E. we have a pish group of players, not a single one of them are genuine quality and we don't have a top manager either. Focus on the kids, coaching, the basic infrastructure. Maybe in 5-10 years we can muster together a team that isn't woeful.
  10. Probably earns about 8 times what the SFA are willing to pay.
  11. I think just like with us, the Scottish national team needs someone progressive with forward thinking ideas. Walter isn't the ideal match for that. However, like us, with a complete lack of competent candidates he's head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. Regardless, Walter bowed out his managerial career with us in 10/11 playing free flowing football and romping to the title. I don't know what he ever saw in Ally as a coach, but he should bow out on a high note. I was never the greatest fan of his ideology, but he retired from football a winner and his time has passed.
  12. I wouldn't have put up with van Bronkhorst, Albertz, De Boer or Ferguson gesturing to us. Similarly, I won't put up with it from an Accrington Stanley upstart.
  13. Benteke after months of failing to hit the net and ripping the piss with his obscene wages made a gesture after finally scoring a goal. It was a hilarious moment. Windass doing a gesture after scoring against the pitiful Partick Thistle is even more hilarious. I can't actually believe our support are trying to justify what Windass has done here. Can you actually imagine Lionel Messi netting a goal, turning round to the Camp Nou faithful and mocking them with a gesture? Please. To me, tolerating this sort of pathetic bullshit is like how we allowed Ian Black to continue playing for us after betting against us. Or when Ashley, the Easdales et al proceeded to rip the absolute **** out of our very being, only to have supporters backing them. Standards have plummeted. Windass might have good stats this season but he was horrendous for over a year, goes missing for massive spells and he has about as much chance of ever playing in the EPL as I do.
  14. Ashley Barnes was the most bizarre one. Even Giroud is nowhere near the level Chelsea need.
  15. Again, referring to the likes of Smith (one of our best managers) and Fergie (one of the best of all time) just makes you look daft. Murty has lost to various woeful teams in a short space of time and just isn't up to the task at all. I've been right with all of our recent managers and I'm right again here.
  16. Ah yes, criticising a manager who has us in third place is being sooo negative. Get a grip, mate. Our form under him is appalling.
  17. No, but I doubt they would have got beaten by Dundee, Hamilton, St Johnstone, Killie and Hibs all in a short space of time. It's beyond baffling that he got the job after the Dundee and Hamilton results. I mean in any other time in our history that would probably be an immediate sacking.
  18. Until we get a proper manager in place we're going to continually experience embarrassing results like this.
  19. Morelos is a year younger than Dodoo and has scored 65 goals so far in his career. Dodoo has a grand total of 12. Morelos is clearly in another league and hopefully us signing him wasn't just blind luck. We should already have his replacement in mind. If Dodoo was any good I doubt he'd have come back from his loan with third tier Charlton having only scored one league goal.
  20. It's quite simple: A player is in an offside position if: he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent. The keeper is just counted as one player - it's just the keeper is usually the last man.
