What, is this nonsense actually a theory? If Ashley was pulling the strings we would be getting their injured C team on loan, not their on form manager. We are not going to be getting ANY managers or players doing well in the EPL.

Other big clubs have decent youth development, scouting, general resources, playing style, ethos etc. We don't have any of this. When our new manager is appointed he will use his own philosophy and bring in his own players. If that fails in a year or 2 the same thing will happen with his replacement. This isn't how to operate a successful football club.

These players we're being linked with aren't the quality we need to challenge the tims next season, perhaps aside from McArthur. Pedro to Warnock....hmmm do the board have any idea what direction they want us to go in? I think Warnock is a good shout to restore some stability at the club, but the board don't have a clue what they're doing.

I think past experience shows that there's little correlation between how good a player is and the type of coach he becomes. In the case of souness, whilst he had early success, he was woeful later on.

I don't think Foderingham is a good keeper and doubt there is any chance of getting a few mill for him. If McGregor is still half the keeper he was, I doubt we'll get anyone better than him this summer. At 36 he's not completely over the hill for a keeper.

Have the board not said they are going for someone tried and tested this time? Gerrard would just be another massive gamble and big name players like him bomb all the time as managers. Until we have the correct infrastructure in place, we're too big a job for a rookie.

Klopp is a God. Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Roma are a club I have always hugely admired whilst Liverpool are a team playing football the correct way and with a genius of a manager.
