  1. Sounds like you would have to play quite a few matches to equal the money on offer.
  2. I don't like the idea of playing a non competitive match against Celtic. I don't like the way that they have conducted themselves since we have returned to the top league. I think that even if I was a neutral I would dislike their behaviour. I won't take the time to watch this match but I can live with it going ahead. I have taken a few minutes to listen to what Bisgrove had to say on the Heart and Hand podcast. The decision is not baffling. We're going to get a lot of money for participating. We spend a lot of money so we need a lot of money.
  3. It has come to pass that we remain in Europe while Celtic have free midweeks. One more argument for tolerating the match postponement that has proved to be a load of rubbish.
  4. I want to see some of the decisions again. Any mistakes by the ref? There are a couple of signs of poor attitude today. For example Morelos noticeably changes his attitude after going 2-0 up. Almost as if playing in the Champions League is not of interest to these players.
  5. Can anybody remember if there were any such calls when England and the U.S.A. played in the 2006 world cup?
  6. @Ted McMinnime "PS Just for the record, I think I and most others on here, have got the (repeated) message about the "quick fix" solution of not paying the licence fee. Thank you. But, for some, it runs a bit deeper than that." The choice is between quick-fix and no-fix. What to you mean when you say it runs deeper?
  7. I don't want to discourage your posts but I wouldn't be surprised to return in five years to see that nothing has changed. The general approach of complaining about, or mocking, a double standard will not make one bit of difference. The only way to get value for your money is to stop paying the television licence.
  8. Good point. Football fans, famed for reason and affability, would shrug it off like everything else that goes against them.
  9. He is second choice left back. Not a last resort. Just going through a bad patch but no guarantee that he plays his way out of it.
  10. Really worried about an excessively verbose, and off topic, comment. Lets stick to the football if we can.
  11. So many stayed behind that you could have waited until the final whistle and still beat the traffic.
  12. Points probably. I think earnings are for progress at this stage.
  13. Interesting idea. How would we feel if we were kicked out because of something that the S.N.P. had done? Besides, doesn't U.E.F.A. like to keep politics out of football? Probably only when it suits them.
