  1. If the directors change their mind, after explaining, then their credibility suffers. Why risk that to placate fans? If the board are being asked to tell us things that are neither controversial nor unexpected then it is completely pointless. Demanding that the board do something completely pointless is dumb.
  2. Quite.
  3. If the board offer any explanation then it will invite further scrutiny of the manager. Fans, and the press, would be able to criticise the manager with reference to that explanation. The current manager would be under more pressure. The board would be limiting possible future decisions. Any potential future candidate for the manager's job would be discouraged. I think that is a fair summary of the most important reasons not to engage with the fans on this matter. I can't think of an important reason to engage on this matter. Maybe there are some really important reasons that I'm unaware of. Unless those reasons become apparent it just looks like a dumb idea to me.
  4. Yes.
  5. Your words. I never said that.
  6. Maybe. I've wanted the club to engage with fans in the past. Each new demand for engagement seems dumber than the last though. I don't see any reason for the fans to be informed about anything other than fixtures and prices.
  7. The board is not obliged to keep fans informed about any of that stuff. I think that ticketing and customer experience are rubbish. Despite that I keep buying tickets. Incredible but clearly quite common. Engaging with the fans about the manager's future will only undermine the manager. Who would want to work for such a board?
  8. Strange point to make. We don't have free speech in the United Kingdom.
  9. There is no point in the board engaging with the fans. Stupid complaints will persist no matter how much engagement there is. Quite encouraging that the board is wasting as little time as necessary on stuff like that.
  10. What's the significance of this thread?
  11. Great to see Fashion Sakala turning it around against all odds.
  12. Rumours swirling around that nothing is happening.
  13. Prior to Goldson's injury I did find it funny to watch him walk up to Tav before each free kick. He would whisper something in Tav's ear. Each time Tav would try to bounce it off of Goldson's head. I still have no idea what the big secret could have been.
  14. I've read reports that say similar stuff. All sounds good for someone in his current position. I've yet to read anything that suggests he has the personal qualities to be a good manager.
  15. Good. Now we have a data point demonstrating the existence of a former assistant manager that has gone on to do well as a manager. Why should we think that this will also be the case with Vos?
  16. I don't imagine that he has some secret formula that he is keeping from the manager.
  17. Changed my mind. The manager is doomed.
  18. Just need a few hundred more crosses.
  19. St Johnstone 0 Rangers 2 First goal scorer: Čolak
  20. This demonstrates the true brilliance of our players. They can appear to be completely rubbish while, in fact, being completely brilliant. I'm going to stop watching the matches and just start reading statistics instead.
  21. Nnamdi Ofoborh. I had forgot about him.
  22. I don't know what is going on. All I can say is that it is very modern, very un-Struthian and that I am opposed to it.
  23. The manager should bring him on when the crowd needs a lift. People will applaud literally anything that he does.
  24. Management of injuries, and fitness, might have some room for improvement. Leaving that aside he can get more from the remaining available players.
