I can only make sense of your comments if you are assuming that I've made some judgement about his potential contribution. I've not. That would be entirely your input. I'm saying that I didn't see anything of note during that match. If anybody can direct me to something of note then I will be most interested.

A couple of points that occurred to me while watching the match yesterday. Goldson playing out from the back is really starting to annoy me. He has been surprisingly good at this in the past. Every time that I see it now he just slows play down even further. Too many touches and he is getting caught out very often when strolling forward with the ball. I think the latter point might even be three matches in a row. I'm a bit concerned about the contribution by Ridvan Yilmaz. What does he offer that we don't already get from Barisic? It's not even ninety minutes but I didn't see anything to suggest there might be more to come.

The tactics were wrong. The forward line did next to nothing because it was completely cut off from everything behind it. If Morelos was playing then we could just punt it up to him. That wasn't an option. Why didn't the manager play Tillman deeper? -

Your post is like manna from heaven for a pedant like me. -
I'm reminded of the best thing about selling Calvin Bassey. Even better than all the money. Never again will I need to put up with some guy cheering on "big Shirley" for 90 minutes.

Jon McLaughlin kept us in it after a horrific Goldson mistake in the second half.

I suspect he was thinking that losing by one goal could be tolerated. -

I understand that many find it difficult in the immediate aftermath of a painful defeat. Surely there is a level of cowardly nonsense below which one can not sink. -

I don't think Union are that good but we have left ourselves with a lot to do. -

Love this strip. It really is simply the best. -
Great point. It is petulant to criticise a Rangers player before he has kicked a ball. No idea what you mean by "TRUE servant". Does that mean he can head the ball?

Must be experts. People up and down the country pay for it gladly. -
Moneys plz.

Titter. You'll speak ill of a player before he has even kicked a ball. Not sure how familiar you are with Bassey's time at Rangers but "solid servant" suggests a level of consistency that he didn't provide.

You're correct not to write Souttar off. I disagree with your description of Bassey and Lundstram though. Bassey clearly had loads to learn when we got him. He even left with many of the same weaknesses. Lundstram was almost always good when played in the correct position. Mentioning "the weight of the jersey" suggests deficient character which doesn't apply to either of them.
