  1. Great point. It is petulant to criticise a Rangers player before he has kicked a ball. No idea what you mean by "TRUE servant". Does that mean he can head the ball?
  2. Must be experts. People up and down the country pay for it gladly.
  3. Titter. You'll speak ill of a player before he has even kicked a ball. Not sure how familiar you are with Bassey's time at Rangers but "solid servant" suggests a level of consistency that he didn't provide.
  4. You're correct not to write Souttar off. I disagree with your description of Bassey and Lundstram though. Bassey clearly had loads to learn when we got him. He even left with many of the same weaknesses. Lundstram was almost always good when played in the correct position. Mentioning "the weight of the jersey" suggests deficient character which doesn't apply to either of them.
  5. Quite. I'm sure that 3 will be used at some point. I hope it remains a tactical option rather than a regular formation.
  6. Quite. I just didn't think that those matches were like this one in any other way.
  7. I can't tell you why. The best way for you to find out would probably be to go and ask a footballer that didn't need time to settle in.
  8. Good point. I would expect Davies to become first choice for that position.
  9. Why did you bring up the comparison to matches from last season if you think it unimportant? Draws were a problem last season but only two, I think, were a case of falling behind and then failing to regain the lead. The typical kind of draw, last season, was to go ahead before switching off and conceding.
  10. I thought that a better analogue would be a match where we went behind early and failed to regain the lead.
  11. I don't expect him to get any faster. He doesn't need to muscle up either. He was up against one of the few S.P.F.L. opponents that could beat him in a physical contest.
  12. I think that Calvin Bassey is a good player. He does have some glaring weaknesses though. We've sold him now so there should be no problems talking about that. He can't head the ball and usually looks like he doesn't know what to do when the ball is in the air. Even Frankfurt knew this as he was targeted early on in the final. I often found myself completely baffled by the praise he got as it was often a case of recovering from his own mistakes. Hopefully he can make a drastic improvement at Ajax as additional payments and sell on fee would be nice. He does appear to be very coachable so I wouldn't rule it out. Sadly it hasn't started well. Looks like he has been red carded 15 minutes into his first match.
  13. The European result was absolutely terrible.
  14. I don't think that Souttar needs time to settle in. I think that both he and Goldson just had a bad day against a tricky opponent. I'm pretty sure that this same fellow played at Ibrox last season and caused a few problems then too. I don't think he is particularly good but sometimes a big striker can just dominate his opponents.
  15. Really, which draws did you have in mind? 3 points is all that matters until the day that we fail to get 3 points. On that day we will all agree that we could see it coming because our form had been poor for ages.
  16. New personnel. Familiar performance. The difficulties were familiar and so was our eventual escape.
  17. Player of the Year - Tavernier Young Player of the Year - Yilmaz Top Goalscorer - Colak Most Assists - Tavernier Best performer of new signings - Colak Surprise performer - I can never predict surprises.
  18. It could be even worse than that. The club might actually act on the advice received from the self selecting minority that engage.
