  1. I think that the ubiquity of these 'values' makes them worthless as part of any individual club brand or identity.
  2. Are there any football clubs that would not recite an equivalent message?
  3. Looks like some modern football clubs to me. Just like any other.
  4. If your brand can be anything then it is nothing.
  5. I guess we can rule out tradition then.
  6. People find it difficult because it is painful to accept that Rangers is a modern football club like any other.
  7. Modern life is rubbish.
  8. Funny, I thought you would come back about the hard work bit.
  9. That stuff is all long gone. I seem to remember some fellow saying that the team that drinks together wins together. Maybe it disappeared some time before then.
  10. Have you been in a coma since 2012?
  11. Why is it important to be able to speak to them? Was the Easdale board removed as a result of some persuasive chat?
  12. I think that I'm right to say that shareholders get a vote regardless of board member opinions. This board will be as accountable as any other board in any other similarly structured company. Rangers fans, in general, are not holding the board to account at present. That does not mean that the board is unaccountable.
  13. I don't know. Perhaps the board think that it is a waste of time. Club1872 will just have to cast a vote like all of the other shareholders.
  14. One of these things is unlike the others. The board are accountable to shareholders.
  15. It costs time and money like everything else.
  16. If the directors change their mind, after explaining, then their credibility suffers. Why risk that to placate fans? If the board are being asked to tell us things that are neither controversial nor unexpected then it is completely pointless. Demanding that the board do something completely pointless is dumb.
  17. Quite.
  18. If the board offer any explanation then it will invite further scrutiny of the manager. Fans, and the press, would be able to criticise the manager with reference to that explanation. The current manager would be under more pressure. The board would be limiting possible future decisions. Any potential future candidate for the manager's job would be discouraged. I think that is a fair summary of the most important reasons not to engage with the fans on this matter. I can't think of an important reason to engage on this matter. Maybe there are some really important reasons that I'm unaware of. Unless those reasons become apparent it just looks like a dumb idea to me.
  19. Yes.
  20. Your words. I never said that.
  21. Maybe. I've wanted the club to engage with fans in the past. Each new demand for engagement seems dumber than the last though. I don't see any reason for the fans to be informed about anything other than fixtures and prices.
  22. The board is not obliged to keep fans informed about any of that stuff. I think that ticketing and customer experience are rubbish. Despite that I keep buying tickets. Incredible but clearly quite common. Engaging with the fans about the manager's future will only undermine the manager. Who would want to work for such a board?
  23. Strange point to make. We don't have free speech in the United Kingdom.
