So what relevant difference does he think there is between Twitter and forums? It appears to me that he thinks opinions can be gauged in both.

Rangers First - Temporary Chairs of Working Groups Announced
ranger_syntax replied to WATP_Greg's topic in Rangers Chat
Really? Why did she do that? -
In my opinion the number of groups is not really an issue. The fact that different groups exist is a good thing as it means that people can associate with like minded individuals for whatever reason. The alternative, one size fits all, will not work. If we had one/two groups then people who don't fall in line will just disengage. The familiar complaint 'Fan Chief X does not speak for me' will continue to be heard but with more justification. A better thing for fans to think about is how to disagree with each other and how to cooperate where common cause exists. The negative/personal stuff just switches people off.

Perhaps we can blame all the people who are watching foreign football on television . . .

Dundee United chief Stephen Thompson blasts SFA.....

Pray tell Stephen, who are they? -
Both goals were good yesterday. I've just watched Gallagher's again. http://www.rangerstv.tv/viewfree.php?it=12875&c=Inside%20Ibrox&r=236678734985 It's good to see someone just hit it first time rather than wait to be closed down.

Apparently there were 30000 cards to distribute and 44,110 in attendance. Something doesn't quite add up and it's probably the attendance. It's more difficult to tell with blue cards but it looked like a majority were holding up cards in the areas that I could see.

This is the most important part for me. I could have some sympathy if clubs were complaining at the very start. The fact that he has waited until now demonstrates that he is just playing to the gallery.

I'd like to see Rangers knock inferior opposition out of the Scottish cup.

It's not really all that you said though. You inferred that because McCoist has spent most of his career working with Smith that this is all he knows. Given the variety of other managers that he has worked with this is clearly not the case.

I think that the manager has to find ways to motivate his players and keep them motivated.

Dave King is speaking to the press voluntarily and appears quite open. He's willing to meet fans groups and can be questioned then. Craig Whyte didn't say too much and successfully concealed the fact that he was previously banned from being a company director. I don't see the similarity. There is also a massive difference between blind support and not knowing the full facts.

Don't tell me you want to attend now!?

I've seen little or nothing to suggest he is any good. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to an extent though. Football is a team game and if he is played out of position or can't communicate well then it will not work. I hope he has a decent world cup and finds another team.

Rangers Announce Secure Loan - £1.5m. Repayable by 1st Sept
ranger_syntax replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
This is what worries me. We might end up in a vicious circle. As strange as it sounds I've been hoping for the season ticket prices to increase and I now think it is a certainty. In addition to a price rise I expect we will see the squad reduced rather than increased. I know Cribari will be off of the wage bill but who else?- 112 replies

The two schemes will have different structures. There are some fans who are not interested in investing in one, for whatever reason, but would invest in another. If there is a choice then they invest. If there is no choice then they will only invest if the existing scheme suits them. This means that the finite amount of cash that supporters are willing and able to invest increases if there are more schemes to choose from. In a sense the resources are divided but you may well find that both groups disagree on very little when it comes round to voting at A.G.M.s.

Some people will have valid reasons to prefer one scheme over another. If there is a choice then more people will get involved. There is nothing difficult or confusing about this.

I read this touching news story today. It reminded me that football has this wonderful power to transform otherwise empty lives. As I read it I began to feel myself losing control of my emotions and I started to weep. When I reached the end of the story I was so emotionally drained that I felt extremely nauseous.

Dr Waiton on Rangers, Free Speech and Sectarianism
ranger_syntax replied to ThatsWhyWeirChamps's topic in Rangers Chat
If only polytheism had better lions to throw the Christian to, er, wait . . . Seriously though, you find plenty evidence of intolerance from pagans, polytheists et cetera in the ancient world and if you look around you find an increasingly intolerant streak of atheism. You also don't need to look far to find tolerant monotheists so I would say that there are plenty of ifs, ands and buts to consider before one makes such a sweeping generalisation. As for the secular thing, I hate to break it to you guys, the Monarch is the head of the Church of England. We also have Bishops in the House of Lords. Apart from R.C. schools we also have, in my experience, regular visits from a minister in the so called non-denominational schools. It is going to be increasingly secular but it's not yet. -

I'm not sure I understand your point. What does embarrassing, anti-social, loutish behaviour and public urination have to do with OBAF?
